Great video, very detailed with lots of tips, I bookmarked it! I have manual locking hubs but I'm getting ready to help a friend who has the Auto Lock hubs so I wasn't familiar with these. I went to auto mechanics trade school many moons ago, we where taught to always to repack pack both inner and outer wheel bearings as well as always replace inner wheel bearing seal. I mean you might as well change that inner seal as you have everything taken apart and they're only $3-$6 each. And as you did, turning rotors and drums is always a good idea. What I do is buy a new set of rotors or drums, mount those and next time I do a brake job I take the old rotors or drums to the shop, have them turned and swap out. And just keep doing that till they no longer meet spec :)

Great instruction. Thank you for not playing obnoxious music to make it hard to understand your direction. How about showing hot pull same application front axles especially rt with u joints and slip joint. How much up and down play is allowed on rt axle slip joint?

Very nice video and without any distracting music. Make sure you stress how important it is to get the inside and outside of the hub clean, before installing the bearing. It is a greasy job, so have lots of paper towels or clean rags handy. When the hub is off the Rotor and cleaned up, that is the time to paint the hub if you are going to. Painting the hub and rotor does help to keep the Rotors clean especially if you live in an area where the roads get salted in the winter. Thanks again for a nice instructive Video.

@@rednecktech82 Nice ill try to remember to check that out. The fact that you don't have an intro clip is great, it seems like everyone does that and it's so annoying! I have a 94 bronco that I am working on and this video really helped me. I am new to this family of vehicles and I nearly did something really stupid when I tried to take the rotors off. I didn't realize all that stuff inside and I tried getting it off by hitting the backside of the rotor, luckily I stopped pretty quick. It's nice to know how complicated it is so I can keep track of all those pieces as I take them off. It's also nice to know that I need that tool to take the nut off. Thanks again

@@Cheeseplate1775 It's actually quite simple. There are (2) 12mm (?) nuts on the back side, 1 left 1 right, if you look close you will see them. On the passenger side I believe you may have to remove the battery box to get to them. I'll try to get a video up by the end of the week.

Have you tried hitting it with an impact gun? Next thing I'd suggest would be a really big prybar to get more torque on it.... If there's not much grease in that hub I'd throw some PB blaster in there too and let it sit overnight, it could be seized on.

Some of these videos are kinda really laughable almost bizarre how easy things like the wheel studs just fall on out of there. I just did here in the rust belt. Customer got 5 new wheel studs there was no saving em. In the future they do sell the entire assembly put together. I did 2 of the studs out with heat but they still deformed after impact.
