This is after my taste the best oboeplayer I have listend to on KZread. Because of his sound,very few players in the world plays like that. I know one more….Thanks to the soloist!!!

Absolutely superb in all respects, what beautifully rendered oboe playing - this is how I will try and play in mjy next life.

Fabulous performance from the Soloist, beautifully supported by a very fine orchestra. I love the full rounded sound of the Oboist who demonstrates wonderful dynamic variation and control. Vaughan Williams is very much entrenched in British music so it’s lovely to hear his beautiful music reaching far and wide.. Thank you to the Oboist you did a spectacular performance and you really got to what this Concerto is all about which makes me wonder if you studied in England at some point. I’m utterly spellbound, truly spellbound. .

I love this concert very much. It's one of my favorite pieces. A beautiful performance by the Turku Philharmonic and Mr. Takashima! The Regent's jovial enthusiasm is right and exhilarating!

One of the few times I've heard the oboist "sing" through his instrument. Such talent! Beautiful!

You gotta love the oboe -- opening a box and choosing just the right reed for the task at hand... Reminds me of all those many years ago, when at music camp, the oboists and bassoonists had to take reed making classes while the rest of us were goofing off or something. I admired them for their dedication... Anyone have any idea how often this amazing piece actually gets play live by professional orchestras, worldwide? Great performance.

I was a clarinetist but had to make an oboe reed in a woowdwinds class. Mine looked like a disaster but "crowed" when I blew on it. The prof was very disappointed, as that fulfilled the assignment. He hoped that I would have to make another one. Thank God, I didn't, as reed-making is not easy to do.

Este concerto é um dos mais belos já escritos para o oboé e deveria ser muito mais conhecido. E esta interpretação é simplesmente extraordinária!
