Great review. I could not resist the introductory price. Oh and Kongs PM modules have been way ahead too but overlooked for the longest time. I am shifting away from samples are digging deeper into PM.

Hmm... I have definitely not spent much time with them. May have to fire them up soon!
Great review. I'm really enjoying it!
Always a pleasure to hear your thoughts and expertise! I am SUPER excited to play with Objekt 😍😍 it feels so limitless

Great video. I think Objekt is a great synth with some great potential for experimentation. I m also excited to see what Reason Studios is doing next, after finishing the initial roadmap goals from last year. All the best

Totally! Interested to see what's next!
I wasn't really excited about Objekt until I watched your video and watched how cool using external samples as the Exciter impacts is, that's just such a cool feature and everything else it can do just seems way more amazing than I originally thought. Thank You

You’re welcome! I can’t wait to see what people do with the external input!
Great intro thanks Evan

Thanks Brian!
Looks amazing! My goal has often been to give a more physical feel to sounds, even if I don't want them to sound like any real instrument. I often played around with some crazy EQ then reverb, then distortion to create some sense of a physical resonance. Just to use this as an effects unit to run parallel with the dry signal is something I see huge potential with. It can be as simple as having it rumble along with some bass. Being able to create sounds from scratch that have this physical sense but don't sound familiar to any real instrument is something I'm really excited about too.

You’re gonna have a lot of fun with this then!
I was right about what Objekt would be capable of and how it would function however it still does more then I original thought. I thought it would work like this but with only 1 input and 2 output source. Anyway I think its great.

It really is a treat!
Really caught off guard by the low end stuff - super warm and rich. Like you say the external in is the real pandoras box here - can't wait to feed it all kinds of stuff

I’m gonna release some more demos tomorrow, but yea, the bass continues to shine. Even synth bass stuff just growls perfectly.
Good video, guy! In my opinion, it should be included with Reason. I think Friktion should be too.

Great breakdown of Objekt! Have you tried vocals in the external in?

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it will be one of the next things I try!
1) Will it work as VSTi in Cubase? 2) In Reason rack can I use external signal through Object?
I need more time to explore the full potential of this pseudo acoustic synth it's like parsec on steroid it's not as simple as Friktion but have the same kind of modeling sound and out of territory sound design .
Great overview, thanks. What I can't work out is - is it possible to input a sound or sample into Objekt? Eg is it possible to input say a guitar chord I've recorded? Or is it not designed to do that? ie is the external in just designed to trigger the internal sounds of Objekt?

Hey it is designed to input what ever audio you want, and it goes way deeper then just using it as an exciter/object trigger. If you route external audio into Objekt I recommend to turn the „key mode“ to mono or legato, otherwise (auto legato or poly1-16) objekt needs a midi signal to make sound. Your audio will be triggering the physical modelling part, however if you increase the exciter in the mixer you can mix your original audio back which is great to add texture or layers to your original audio via the object engine. Furthermore, you can also turn off the modal and obejcts completely and just use the build in effects on your original audio. And there is more for experimentation e.g. in the modulation matrix you can use some interesting input sources, like the stereo position of you external audio to modulate a destination. I think there are a lot of interesting ways to use external audio inputs in objekt. Cheers

Any sound source be it Sythersizor or sampler or just a audio mixer channel recorded or live can be connected to the audio input on the back of Objekt as demonstrated by Ryan on the Reason Studios video on Objekt.

@@Caelo_music The Mod Matrix is exactly the same as Thor, Europa, Grain so most Reason users know about how it works. Mod matrix is pretty straight forward, you select a source parameter on the device, then assign a number percentage value then second the destination parameter. Like selecting pitch shifting to LFO or what ever.
I have suite do I have to pay for a upgrade or is this free I have reason 12
Does your Reason 11 template work with Reason 12?

Yes
[Hint] Create an audio track, connect it to Objekt's "External in" and create the exciter sounds with your voice in real time. THAT'S where the power is. watch this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5tk2dV9dsSsd6g.html

Objekt would sell 100X more if it was sold as a stand-alone VST. Such a shame they try to force you to buy the entire Reason system..
Looks like an interesting and cheap Omnisphere alternative for Reason users. Too bad I don't use Reason.

It’s not sample based like Omnisphere. It’s like Tasman on Steroids albeit not as modular.
This synth isn't as serious as you're telling us here. Nothing special. Thank you.
Pretty underwhelming sounds to be honest.... I pretty much went through every preset and it didn’t really do much for me...I wasn’t that impressed

If you are only going through presets there is no point in buying any synth lmao r'tard
