Obiaruku Community Explores a Traditional Approach in Tackling Insecurity.
Today, the people of Obiaruku in Ukwuani local government area (LGA) of Delta State came together at the residence of the community's eldest person, known as the Okpala-Uku, to confront the escalating challenges of insecurity and leadership deficiencies that have been plaguing them. The community has been severely impacted by the prevalence of kidnappings, sexual assaults, and the wanton destruction of their agricultural produce by herdsmen, making it perilous for them to carry out their farming activities. Frustrated by the lack of effective intervention from the authorities, the community made a decisive move today to address their plight.
