I really like Satine. Her character gave something Obi Wan in the prequels needed, a humanistic trait. She shows the viewer than even a dedicated, duty-bound Jedi like him wasn't completely tied to the order body and soul. He clearly still loved her and her death really hurt him, really tested him. But he was still a Jedi and all he knew how to deal with it was to let it go. It makes him a very relatable character because think about it; how many of us love something that we know might deter us away from the path we've chosen?

her death reminded me a lot of gwen's in TASM2, The hero works, fights and gets hurt giving his best to save the woman he loves from the bad guy, but doesn't make it, because in both cases the villain motivated by revenge kills her, and both of the heroes struggle with the grief and then move on! Is it or not a lot like gwen's death?

Look I love Bo-Katan - I really do - but that was such a low blow she dealt him! (Especially with her siding with those who wished to overthrow Satine...)

Satine's death had to be the saddest moment in Star Wars history for me. She was so innocent and had so much to live for, yet Maul had to come and mess things up. I'll admit I cried the third time I saw this episode =(

Poor Obi-Wan Kenobi. Everyone he loves or cares about dies. I wish they'd do more with him when he was a Jedi and not in hiding but I heard Disney is not retuning to the old republic. Obi-Wan Kenobi is my favorite character no matter what though.

It's okay to cry. True love doesn't happen every day.

Obi-Wan and Satine are so tragic because from the first moment you realise they are in love (or at least that she loves him) you also realise they will never survive. Satine's pacifist ideals have no place in the Clone Wars; Obi-Wan will be known as a great Jedi general but he can never openly be with her because of his principles and his life. When Maul kills her, the real sadness is that not only has he lost her but that he can never properly mourn her, because there is no-one (save Bo-Katan, and Anakin if he had confided in Obi about Padmé, which he obviously didn't) that will understand or even properly care. Obi-Wan has to keep fighting the war and desecrate her ideals because if he doesn't, it will kill him... and he will die anyway because Anakin turns on him. They are really a love story which was doomed from the start.

Yes Obi wan and Satine every bit as tragic and doomed as Anakin and Padme were and like Padme and Anakin would have been able too be happy or have a proper relationship with each other the order and lies and secrets would have destroyed them like it Anakin and Padme. Yes neither couple were ever going too get a happy ending as both Padme and Satine were destined to die young and Anakin and Obi wan were destined to live and die to a lone .

Obi-Wan lost his master, his best friend, all the jedi, and the women he loved. If anyone he lost the most as a result of the war

God damn, this was absolutely beautiful. I'm someone who has literally never openly cried while watching a movie/tv show or reading a book, not even when I first saw Armageddon as a little brat or when Fred Weasley drew his last breath, and I'm seriously choked up right now. This, right here, is why Obi-Wan is one of the greatest men to have ever lived in the Star Wars universe. He had to endure so much, experiencing one loss after another - his master and father figure, two friends and semi love interests in Cerasi and Siri (even though, strictly speaking, the two of them never really existed since they're not canon), Satine who was probably the love of his life, his best friend and "brother" and finally his ideals and way of life - and he never once lost himself, never faltered and always kept moving onwards. He represents everything the Jedi stand for and is, at the same time, the prime example for the errors of their ways: had more Jedi been encouraged to live with and embrace their emotions, yet not letting them control their actions, instead of suppressing them entirely... well, things might have turned out very differently. Alright, I think that was enough heavily involved nerding for today. I'm out.

I would say that I ship Obi Wan and Satine, but I'm glad that they never became a secret couple or had a heat of the moment kiss or anything like that. It would be out of character for both of them. I love their story as it is, a tragic story of two people who chose duty over love.

Same, every time I watch the episode where Satine dies I just wanna jump into the screen and give Obi-Wan a hug. In fact, sometimes I hug my TV.

Like somone said in the comments I read, I never thought I would feel this emotion in a video, but it hit me right in the bottom of my heart, and recoiled to the top. I dont know what to say- when people say next time "Oh you like star wars? NERD!" I'll just show them this and ask them afterwords "how do you feel now?" Dang, I feel so sad now..

Okay so this video came out when I was 13 and now I'm 20 and I'm so emotional attached to it??? This video just makes me happy and sad at the same time and in a way that feels like healing. And this song became my favourite song, but I always hear the voiceovers in the end in my head because I listend to this song mostly while watching this video.

This is not only a video, it's art! It is magic, wonderful and very moving... There will never be something compares to this, no one could ever made a tribute like this. I'm sure, if you could show this Darth Maul, he will be very sad and he will wish, that he have not kill Satine. I love it so much, it's perfect and I'm not able to find word to describe how great it is. Thank you!

That was amazing!!!! =D I positively LOVE Obi-Wan and Satine as a couple. Seriously. It's so much that my friends thought I had a crush on Obi-Wan until I started gushing about how great Satine is. (And she. Is. So. AWESOME!) TO ALL YOU SIRIWAN FANS IN THE COMMENTS: I HATE Siri. My friends have to refer to her as the 'unmentionable one' around me, and I constantly get mad at my iPhone. (Of all the names... IT HAD TO BE SIRI?!) Siri to me was always just a female version of Anakin. Her character solely depended on Obi-Wan. I don't mean this literally, as she was a Jedi, but she didn't really have a life outside of 'Yeah, she's Obi-Wan's GF.' Satine, on the other hand, is not just 'Obi-Wan's GF.' She has a family. She has direct influence over thousands of systems, and even has these independence complexes in episodes such as Duchess of Mandalore. I could go on forever about this, but I'm commenting on a video. Not the relationship between Obi-Wan and Siri. (This was mainly to balance out you Siriwans in the comments who are saying things along the lines of "Obi-Wan and Satine are fake! Whine whine whine!" I digress. The video was amazing, possibly my favorite Obitine tribute of all time. As Obi-Wan said in Episode 2: "Good job!" (I don't say this sarcastically.) Btw... you owe me a box of tissues. ;)

Yes he cared about Padme she was his friend but that all she was and the reason he hid on her ship was more because he needed to find Anakin And Obi wan was shocked and horrified by Anakin force choking Padme but more because of how it Reminded him of how Satine was force choked before she was murdered by maul. Obi wan was really seeing Padme in his head it was Satine being choked again and why he wanted to check that she wasn’t dead onice Anakin dropped her and moved away .

23 people under Darth Maul's control disliked this video. It's not their fault. They were either possessed, or blinded by their tears, and pushed the wrong button.

Really watching this video again, I can see the story of Obi-Wan and Satine. The editing is perfect and the immense and immersive aspects are flawless. The first time I watched this (years ago), I wept like a baby for about 30 minutes. Tears still threaten to fall. Absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite tributes of all time. Thank you for making this💙💜

I love how you showed Obi-Wan fighting Maul at the end of the video. Those flashbacks wrapped up all of Obi-Wan's feelings.

You did a fantastic job, realy took my breath away! This love strory is so much more romantic than Anakin an Padme's.

I don't think any other tribute video has torn me up like this one has. You did an amazing job.

Obi-wan is the true image of a strong warrior. he lost everything he had, his Apprentice, his master, his lover, even his commander. and yet he still fought on. this video literally made me cry a river. it's so emotional. Obi-wan will always be my favorite Jedi.

If Anakin's romance with Padme had been more like Obi-Wan and Satine, the prequel movies may have been less harder to stomach. Padme being murdered in front of Anakin would've given him a much better reasoning to finally snap and join the Dark Side to gain the power to save her.

I feel exactly the same way

you know so many people bash Obi wan for being cold and uncaring but he had lost all the people that he loved Qui gon the only father figure he had, Satine the girl he was secretly in love with both were murdered infront of him while he was powerless to stop it and then too lose Anakin the young man who was his younger brother everything but name and blood to the dark side .

The voices of Obi Wan and Satine speaking at the end made the video even sadder.

Best Obi/satine I've seen so far. Really amazing and brought tears to my eyes :)

But also the realization that obiwan did all that he can for the people ... in the clone wars as master of anakin and being qui gon s aprentice he had family.. friends .. people that he had cared for . And he lost it all. Satine is dead. Most of the jedi order dead that pratically was his family, brothers and sisters. He lost his aprentice that he considered as his brother. He lost it all. And apart from all that he stayed in tatooine for 20 years or more to make sure luke is safe and when he is ready, obiwan taught him about the force.. whats needed to be done around here. He had to do it all alone. He had no company. He had no one for 20-30 years. He did great sacrifices and got nothing in return.

As Obi-Wan/Satine fan, I can't get past the video of them. At the expense of the video, I had very mixed feelings: on the one hand, death Satine - I still can not watch it now, I immediately start to cry - and on the other hand... this is insanely beautiful video... living and... realistic.... And the fight Obi-Wan with Maul as if he avenges the death of his beloved. Thank you for this impressionable video, it's such I'm missing.

This is still, to this day, one of my favorite videos. I adored Obi-Wan and Satine and I cried when Darth Maul killed her. I also cried the first ten times I watched this. It still hurts now, but it's is amazing and very well done. I love your style for making these and you always pick very fitting songs!!

I think the way it ended in Rebels, where Maul ended up and where Obi Wan ended up made it a very good round arc. Much better then when they would have left Maul vanished in the bottomless reactor pit of Theed.
