Except for the part where he just stared at Kenobi and let him get away. He could have force pulled him through the fire like he was doing seconds earlier. He could have jumped over the fire. He could have put the fire out with the force. It just made no sense. Vader was perfectly brutal up until then, then they just made him a bitch. Like the writing team is just beyond lazy for this series

Anyone else think Leia's speech to her cousin is actually foreshadowing Reva's whole deal? “You’re scared of him. You want him to like you so you repeat what he says. Even though you don’t really know what it means. You think being like him will make people frightened of you, but really, you’re the one who’s scared.” She certainly looked scared for a second when big V snapped that younglings neck in the street.

A lot of people saying it's just JEJ but that's absolutely impossible. The voice here is straight out of the original trilogy (RotJ specifically I think). James Earl Jones while still the best Vader has never been able to really recreate the original trilogy voice, the closest was the couple of lines in RotS. Rogue One and clones series got even farther away. Not blaming him of course, he's over 90 right now and no one sounds the same after 40 years. This Vader here is perfection in both voice and mannerisms. I've never seen anything like it and it literally feels like the first time in cinematic history that it's 100% believable the exact same guy from different movie/s from 40 years ago. Obviously the advantage of not having to do a CGI face also helps immensely but this is the first time they got all 3 main areas (voice, appearance, mannerisms) 100% correct.

I feel like this channel is the high point of the fandom. Their vast knowledge of lore, along with a genuine love for the saga, is the spice that makes this channel so special. As true fans, they know how to look for the good parts, bring out every detail that goes unnoticed. This is the true essence of a healthy fandom. Not being blind to flaws, but still knowing how to value and seek the positive points more than anything. After all, that's what makes us fans: the love we have for the saga, not the anger we have for the negative points. And lately a lot of people have taken the time to look for the flaws, completely ignoring the positives along the way. The series has had MUCH more positives than negatives so far. But the few negatives get a lot more attention from the fandom, obscuring all the happiness we should be feeling with all the magnificent points this series has brought. As if nothing but perfection is acceptable. As if the smallest of mistakes were enough to discredit all the lore. It's sad, I can't think of another word for it. But thankfully there are oases of positivity in the fandom, like Kyle and Bendu. Criticize when necessary, but know how to appreciate above all. Sorry for the long text, but I really took the opportunity to vent after seeing so much completely unnecessary negativity in the fandom lately.

[Proceed to jump then got dismembered] Anakin: "AHH!" Obi-Wan: "You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them! High ground!" Anakin: "I hate you!" Obi-Wan: "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you! High ground!" [Anakin burning alive] Anakin : "AAH!" Obi-Wan: "Woops. I better grab that there. High ground." [Obi picked up Anakin lightsaber] Anakin: "WAIT. Are you f---king robbing me?" Obi-Wan: "I'll give it to your son some day. If Padme isn't you know, dead. I mean she looked pretty dead to me. From up here... on the high ground." Anakin: "Wait. Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Uh, I'm literally just c-cooking to death. Please just kill me." Obi-Wan: "that's not the high ground way-- I mean, the Jedi way. You know what I'm saying. I'm saying I've beaten you, and I'm on the high ground, so... high ground." [back to present time. Vader ignited the fire] Darth Vader: "Now you will suffer, Obi-Wan... high ground." I found it striking that in this episode they deliberately "interrupted" two opportunities to tell us the Grand Inquisitor is dead. One, when Reva reports to Vader she starts saying what happened to the GI but Vader interrupts her. Two, when Reva talks to the 5th brother he says he's "the next in line" ... "next" suggesting the person holding the title is still alive (but perhaps dying). If they GI is dead, they would have little reason to keep that away from us. So my guess is: the GI will returned, but as a "changed person" more in line with the Rebels character.

Yet the only thing shared was a tweet/DM saying she was a diversity pick and is trash at acting....hardly racist... Also there wasn't any RACE issue with Samuel L Jackson, John Boyega (Well...Disney were the racists there lmfao with the whole China poster incident etc), Billy D Williams, Donald Glover etc. So to say that because she is doing a really piss poor acting job in this series doesn't mean racism.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear Obi-Wan talk about his brother. In the lore prior to a coordinated timeline, George Lucas had put out that Owen "Lars" was actually Obi-Wan little brother and Obi gave Luke to him for protection. But then Attack of the Clones came out and George had changed his mind and made Owen Anakin's step brother. But still it was nice to hear that little, very old, nugget of old school SW lore.

Mentally broken from losing his brother, i never said he forgot how to use the force did I? His connection is just weakened. Your comparison of bike riding to the force is laughable. He also fought Vader who has still been in action and fighting even after obi wan was in complete isolation. My mom's theory is that Reva wants revenge on Jedis, including Obi Wan AND Anakin. And her goal is to be head of the inquisitors so she has an opportunity to 1) give Obi Wan over to Vader to kill 2) an opportunity to be alone with Vader to kill him to complete her revenge on the people who ruined her life. And we both think that Obi Wan will lock away Leia's memories of him to protect her (she'd unlock them later during her jjedi training). This would keep from breaking canon and why she would name her son Ben.

After somehow discovering Vader's identity, Though madness has taken her a bit, her plan has always been to find Obi-Wan to get her an audience with Vader to exact her revenge on him. But, she was near him in this episode....so...time will tell. Again, great job.

I'm not so sure Reva's "horrified" look was because of empathy. I know some have theorized that perhaps she might even be coming after Vader so she could be next to the Emperor. As far as I'm aware this might be her first time seeing Vader in action and how ruthless he is. She had no issue killing random people. She threw the knife at the guy in the first episode (hoping the Jedi would stop it but what if?), attempted to kill the Jedi (though it was kind of her job but she was REALLY wanting to do it) "killed" her own boss, and the pilot at the end of this one. But it could be that if she were planning on taking out this half machine former Jedi and taking his place (to get what she's owed) she might be a bit scared now that she sees his skill with the Force. She might finally realize she might not be able to best him. Of course that whole bit is just a theory but at the very least she didn't seem too concerned with killing (or harming) random people so I don't know why she'd care Vader was doing it.

The PSTD that Obi-Wan is suffering has been going for 10 years and has completely broken him. Darth Vadar feels how weak and broken Kenobi is and doesn't even consider him a worthy opponent in a duel. Joby Harold and Deborah Cow are showing a real struggle that Kenobi needs to fight through to become the Kenobi we know from Episode 4, the New Hope. They have written this story in such a mysterious way we don't even know if the Grand Inquisitor has survived. Moses Ingram has done such a good job of being the villain that people are showing all kind of nasty towards her, unjustly. On IMBd James Earl Jones is given credit for the voice of Vadar.
