@@CALAMITYSAINT I was so looking forward to that series to, the trailer looked so good. I was so disappointed by like half way through the series. I will say Ashoka Tano wasn't bad, wasn't amazing or anything. Also the first 2 season of Mandalorian were ok but i thought the last season kinda sucked.

Obi wan dominated from episode 1to3 I've got some problems with the TV show obi wan even though it was entertaining. And Ewan McGregor is a great actor. I don't rate Alec Guinness though and his battle in a new hope was a dud. I wish they would do a Luke Skywalker series. I think if we saw his life between return of the jedi and force awakens with his level of force which is higher than anyone's probably I'll change my mind

In my opinion Obi Wan is the greatest jedi out of all the jedi of his time , even Yoda. He beat multiple opponents that he was supposed to lose too. And ended up being far wiser than them all. Ben was a beast!!!!!

Obi wan is responsible for not keeping anakin away from the dark and thus the end of the jedi order. It's also in canon lore that obi wan was not as strong with the force as other members of the council, so instead focused on lightsaber dueling. I've observed obi wan display some arrogance also. First of all the battle with Darth maul springs to mind, as he attacked with pure rage and aggression. Doesn't fit a character with humility. Secondly is the battle with Darth grievous. In my opinion obi wan was mocking and taunting grevious. You have to admit this isn't humility either. My take on obi wan is that he's fairly balanced with the force and also wise and cautious too. But most of all has tons of experience from being on the front line, and I think this is what makes him so formidable. He's a seasoned veteran. This is best exemplified by obi wans last battle with Vader, where we see caution . Not aggressively rushing into battle, and using a combination of force and saber dueling to prevail. The likes of which I've never seen in any other jedi including Darth Vader, sidious, Yoda or mace windu. Obi wan was managing to parry/strike while simultaneously hurl boulders. Tbh though it does leave me wondering about the authenticity of this battle Basically every time we see a jedi like Yoda who specialises in force use move a large object like the X wing stuck in the swamp on dagobah. We see him have to focus and concentrate. Even Luke in the cave in hoth has to focus for a few moments to get his saber. But somehow obi wan was managing to hurl boulders with almost zero concentration while in active saber combat with Vader ??? And he could raise a ton of boulders above his head without even having to face and focus on them like the before mentioned characters... And then hurling one at a time in rapid succession with seemingly no focus required?? We don't even see Yoda doing that in his duel against dooku deflecting attacks Leaves me wondering if Disney took liberties in creating a good battle and went beyond obi wans limitations (or any jedis limitations)

The last few days at work I’ve been hooked on your Luke and Anakin lore compilations and when I finished devouring them I was searching everywhere for the Obi Wan series. I thought I was just being a Luddite and couldn’t find it!! 😂 I even started making my own playlist out of your videos for work on Monday. Thanks for all of these. They’re amazing!! Great work.

It's interesting that Qui-Gon believed that Anakin still lived buried inside of Vader when Obi-Wan and Yoda both believed he was consumed by the dark side completely.

He is my favorite character of Star Wars

While Anakin and Luke are my favorites. Obi-Wan Kenobi is just as important and amazing as them. He's been played consistently amazing by three phenomenal actors.

You said that obi wants relization that Darth Vader is alive is more emotional in legends but have you read the kenobi book where he finds out through a tuskin prophecy. Way more emotional

I guess its my head cannon and really Obi Wan lore, but Mace Windu is a powerful duelist. Yoda is more powerful in the force. Even Ahsoka is trained to be a far more formidable fighter. Obi Wan is the best because he believes. He lets himself be the tool that the force needs and is used by the living force as a agent of destiny.

42:54- Which yes, that is true! And if Obi-Wan was fighting someone that “DIDN’T” benefit from also being way faster because of the force then that would have made sense! But that isn’t the case. So he would have looked at normal speed for Maul as well! So yeah, that still doesn’t explain away how this somehow worked!?!

It was not just Obi-Wan 's mastery of definsive form 3 that allowed Obi Wan to survive the fight against Anskin but rather it was Anakins inability to control his emotions. I have listened to many interpretations of Abakins character along with the exaggeration of his powers . But not one person has ever noted a trait that Anakin clearly suffered from which is Anakin suffered from Bi Polar disorder. And if you have ever been close to someone who is truly Bi polar ( be it a parent , lover , friend etc ) then you will have clearly noticed that individuals with Bi Polar didorder feel emotions much differently than others do . Individuals with Bi Polar feel emotionas much more intensely than you and I could ever understand. And Bi Polar people also go thru spells where they struggle to feel anything at all . In addition to Anakins struggle with Bi polar dusorder and maybe even a degree of narcissism Anakins personslity his need to prove himself , his arragance and his child hood trauma that made it possible for a other wise average Jedi to be able to defeat a so called chosen one that is soo powerful that he was born from immaculate conception ( I always hated that Lucas made the decsion to include immaculate conception to Anakins orgin story such a misoppurtunity for many back storys where the Skywalkers come from a long lineage of great Force users . Great but not " Gods " . Funny how your always told Anakins abilities were God like but yet in action the results conflicted what were were told

As I recall, Palpatine did NOT defeat Windu. Windu only lost because Anakin stepped in.

It wasn't Obi-Wan's fault for Anakin turning. He did everything he could to help him. He even hid his marriage because he wanted Anakin to be happy. Just so many factors are involved in his turn. The Council, Palpatine and Anakin himself are all too blame. But not Obi-Wan.

Anakin never took accountability for his actions. Anakin was who he was as a child where he would make mistakes and still find blame else where. When he was defeated on Mustafar his hate for Obi didn't come from how he was treated but the mere fact that he loss and was blaming Obi Wan for his pain and losing his limbs though it was Anakins choice to jump. To feel bad for Anakin is borderline psychopathic

41:40- Yeah, this part kinda kills me also! Like I get why it had to end with Kenobi still alive but the writers should have put a lot more thought and time into the making of the conclusion of this battle and technically this movie!?! I mean they could have had the final battle between good and evil in a different area and/or just a different surrounding that could have explained why and how Obi-Wan won even though he was clearly weaker and how Darth Maul lost but was still alive!!! Because once you remember that Darth Maul had the force and could move things without being near it or touching it this scene makes no sense!!! Not to mention the fact that saber throw existed! There was hundreds of ways Darth Maul could have made his foe fall to his death! Two Huge ones are a nice little saber throw that Obi-Wan would either have to let go and fall or have his hands cut off and then fall! Or just the fact that Maul could just use the force to pry Obi-Wan’s fingers back and possibly breaking each one and then just letting go and watch his for fall to his death!!! Both would have been very easy for him to do and both should have been at least among the first few options he thought of almost immediately! But instead we got what we got! And yeah, that made Darth Maul look like a idiot and also takes away from the high ground being a thing!?! I could list many options that they do have done and how if I can think of them without putting much thought and effort into it (meaning I thought of these on the drive home from watching this movie the first time) then there’s no reason why the writers that this is their job to do this couldn’t of done the same before making the movie but this is already too long so I’ll leave it here!

9:21- Um, in that……. show “Obi-Wan” didn’t Darth Vader fight Kenobi twice on that planet?!? The first time technically Darth Vader won and the second time Obi-Wan Kenobi technically won!?! I’ve said this before about the newer shows and movies (including the Ashoka show) that Disney is clearly messing up the whole story and lore of Star Wars!!! And they either need to stop changing things that have already been stated in lore and/or just create new characters without backstories that would also change things!!! Yeah, it’s not as easy as it sounds but if I can do it just by thinking about it for a bit then there is no excuse why someone getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars and sometimes millions of dollars to make up new stories for movies shouldn’t be able to do the same!!! Actually, I’m writing my own graphic novel now that someday I want to get published and be a part of the huge world of Star Wars! And I was able to do it all without changing existing characters!!! I won’t go into too much detail about it but I’m already on my 2nd draft of part 1 and I think it’s pretty good…… But I also don’t have much time to dedicate to it so I guess it could be better if I did!?!

55:15- I thought of this earlier but didn’t bring it up then. But how many separate videos is this made from that weren’t called “lore” videos?!? Because each one kinda feels like the whole thing but skipping a bunch. Then the next starts back at the beginning again!?! It makes it a bit hard to follow if your attention isn’t 100% on the video itself!?! It’s all good though! I get it. A lot of other KZreadrs do the same thing a lot also!

in these dark times that we now live, anyone that isn't appointed The Mouse can write a good SW story...even Kevin Smith -aka Silent Bob- could have written a better SW story, albeit it would entail Padme sucking 37 *what* in a row and Death Star Politics....CEO's that know nothing of the source material and lore of an entire universe should not be running franchises, all they know is marketing, sales, shareholder meetings and profit, there used to be room for actual talent and vision in the industry, now it's all "movies-by-the-numbers" using trends, and a checklist of which demographic needs to be catered to, which "sensitive" group not to offend....no wonder "woke" rhymes with "joke" these ppl are so delusional and ego-centered they had to make up a word, as "woke" is not the same as "awake" (awake translates to as having your eyes open in a spiritual sense)."woke" is just a petulant 3-year-old being told they can't have a pony, or Santa isn't real, and throwing a tantrum...even a casual fan knows more about SW then all of Disney Studios combined...
