You can usually tell if it's working by checking to see if the lights on the product is flashing or not once its hooked up. Hope that this helps

Had you guys though about test it on highway speed like going up a very steep pass ? Or if not available just going up him trying get the fastest possible. With and without this chip? Just an idea cuz i was more interested on use at highways, going up everyone zips by on 85/90 and Iam struggling going barely 60, when reaches some point it starts going down to 50,40 and is ridiculous

This is a simple Obd2 dongle that probably does nothing. The 300 to 500 are uprev and bullydog, they are tuners... and they do work.

Boys... Do some research before you play around with this stuff. 1st, cheap $50 or less OBD2 chips don't usually work to well and 2nd, most decent chips still take learning time and would never just work instantly.

An actual tuner definitely does. I have a super chip for a 7.3. 100+hp and torque. I did see the dragon works elite plus got good reviews. It's programed for each model. Just got one to give it a try in my wifes hhr.

kronos stoner the instanthp truly does effect your car. Maybe not dramatically but it help. The number one purpose I think for the chip is for trucks that are going to be hauling or towing something. It honestly does make a huge difference there.

Yea, a real ecu tune. Go check Cobb website and see if they have a flash tuner for your civic.

They can work but not drastically. They just tweak the ecu. You have to drive up to 200 miles for it to learn how your car drives then sets a couple tweaks to help. Not talking 100mpg increase or hundreds of horsepower, just small improvements. You decide if it's worth it. And there doesn't have to be a computer I side it. Just a small chip.

That's what people don't understand is that these chips can help make small adjustments that make a difference. Most likely it's a small difference but it is a noticeable difference.

I bought one for my 96 Mustang. Installed it exactly by the directions and did a 200 mile cruise. Came home and parked it. Next time I drove I saw a very big difference. I thought it was all in my head so I took it out and saw an immediate decrease in power. Installed it again and drove a little over 100 miles. Again the power was back. Also increased gas mileage. I definitely have to fill up less often.

The problem is that all OBD2 nitro arent same. I have 4 obd2 nitro that looks same but only 2 of them works. I did try on my diesel 2.2 viano and it did increase power but the powerband was so freaking bad like i had no power under 2000rpm but after that the car gets crazy.

Chaz Barrick I did the same- my 2006 Eclipse after 200 miles hit 350Hp, base hp is 263 - I used an OBD diagnostic chip with a 3 way split to test it. The higher the Hp in a car the more you will fell it but if you using a 4 beater, your better off using the gas saver. I’ve managed to get 500 miles out of my eclipse with the green chip driving from LA to Vegas round trip @ 30 MPG.

Gotta go 200 miles before they take effect. Do not work as soon as you plug them in.

Whenever I try anything new. I read the instructions and follow them or research what it is I'm doing. And it doesn't even take instructions to use common sense. I mean if you unhook your car battery to long your cars computer resets and it has to relearn everything again and that factory setting its relearning takes at least 100 miles to relearn things. Common sense says an obd chip designed to change parameters will need at least 100 miles maybe 200 cause its overriding the factory data and also has to learn your driving style. And its not a big boost either most chips are able to give between 10 and 40 horsepower and save 2 miles per gallon when your going easy.

And super cheap doesn't help either. Drop $136 for a smart tune stage 2 chip and hook it up and turn the ignition without starting the car but wait a few minutes. Then start the car, wait a few minutes. Then drive around for 200 miles without turning the car off. Then test if there is a change. Where did that wish.com looking chip come from anyway cause if it was wish. Well why would you expect generic crap to work.

And whats with younger people. Always want things to happen lightning fast. And why no dyno run? What if it worked and only gives 20 hp consistently but you were impatient and called it before even the recommended number of miles it tells you to drive first.. And No way to know it does with a 0 to 60 test Because has so many factors and it could be 10 to 20 hp which some cars get from a cold air intake.. 0 to 60 is so unreliable when its low numbers. Hell my unmodified lincoln LS is 13 years old and runs 0 to 60. 0.3 seconds faster than its advertised and wasn't even shifting correctly on that run another time it was 9 seconds another it was 11 cause I spun the wheels to much. A dyno would give an environment where you can consistently do what's necessary to see if there was any change cause each run is identical and measures the cars peak power.

onireno Not all of them, there is 3 different OBD2 nitro model, 2 of them which are fake and doesnt do shit. Only one of them does and yes you can tell it makes big difference on the car. Car loses all power under 2000rpm but kicks in after and the fuel consumption gets very high. We talking 2-3 liters/100km but for me this tuning sucks and will probably cause one day a big problem. But no it isnt fake if you get the right circuit and model, you can read about it on google where they even show 2 of them are fake and one works. And why should we waste money on dyno when i can instead pay for a real tuning at almost same price?

I've never seen anyone testing their cars on dyno after installing these chips!! why will it be?? I think because these chips are fake and they don't wanna show the truth about these craps!!!

It truly annoys me how many people just look at these chips and get all disappointed when it doesnt turn your piece of shit honda or Toyota into a Maserati. They do work and indeed do up your performance **IF YOUR CAR IS MODDED** No shit thats not what theyre for.
