+qwerty qwerty Most Finns have Scandinavian ancestry. Finland has the world's highest percentage of Blondes and Red-haired people, and both of those genes came to Finland from Scandinavia. Don't forget, Finland was a part of mainland Sweden for centuries. It's not because "vikings raped us", but because "vikings settled here".

No Finland is not part of Scandinavia. The term is many 100 years old (we talk back to the dark ages). A monk talked about a part of the north were the language, people an culture was very close. He called it Scandinavia, an area north, north west and west of Scania (in Sweden). Finland is not in the same time zone, does not have the same Language and are more close to Estonia and the Baltic nations than the other 3 Scandinavian nations. So no, Finland is not Scandinavia but only a part of the Nordics.

The idea of Santa living in a workshop far to the north is an american thing actually we don't argue about that. The asnwer to the other two questions is denmark have the happiest people, despite (or because of) being a bunch of slobs, and sweden has the best hockey team, sorry Finland we love you guys but you haven't taken a single Olympic gold in hockey yet so there's no argument there.

Danes says that Santa lives on the North Pole or Greenland, Finns says it is Lapland, Swedes says it is The town of Mora and Norwegians says it is in Drøbak. So while there isn't a serious debate, we actually don't agree, so the joke was spot on.

//classified top secret humint// sos mayday. But where are my Nordic kindred countries when we need intelligence and military support the most? Standard defense and intelligence contractors are over here sleeping at the wheel, and Kristine and I need classified training, space support, wittness protection, diplomatic protection, classified medical, offworld extract, body armor, mind armor, etc, and you all are nowhere to be found. Lives are on the line in this kind of work. Were the Obama years just one big photo op for some of you? Are these topics to complex to grasp? Whats going on? *End Diplomatic Cable*

As i said. there is no argument at all. Swedes come in 3rd place after Canada and USA of total amount of NHL players. The most popular ones, captains etc is Swedes, total amount of Olympic and WC gold is faaar more for Sweden than Finland. Im not saying finland is bad. Just that Sweden is better, have more players and have more success internationaly. There is no debate. Everything else is about taste or opinion, but that is irrelivant. Besides, i was "half"joking in my first comment. But since you actually wanted to argue i can't let it go.
