Native americans had wars and did atrocities before Spaniards arived, so it is not only european thing.. Those churches also stopped practice of human sacrifices...

Oh my gosh HOW is that even legal to destroy those Fouquieria purpusii... I wish it was mandatory that if they are going to do mining or whatever they must do site assessment and preserve the genetics somehow. What a bloody waste.
