OASIS: Take Me (Rebuilding Liam & Bonehead's Most Popular Song)
In 1991 in the earliest days of Oasis, all the band's songs were written by Liam Gallagher and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs. The most popular of these early songs was 'Take Me'

Stumbling on the ‘early years’ demos is something I wish I could do all over again. They just feel so nostalgic

Love Bonehead. I'm glad he's doing alright. I'm surprised there hasn't been an Oasis box set covering rarities and demos from the first album.
Love the sound of the solo, it honestly sounded like 92 indie. Great work and video.

no exaggeration this is one of the coolest things ive come across on youtube in a long time. great to see people sharing their talents and passion.
This is flipping brilliant. Would love for Liam, Bonehead and Tony to get in the studio together and remake this.
Spot on. Captured it great.👍 Your videos keep getting better. Growing up in burnage in the early 90s to mid 2000s i had those early tapes. Made me pick up the sticks. I had 15 years of fun. No real success. But I played the cavern in Liverpool. I love oasis. Through them any man could, through will alone, like them, achieve something. Love your work. God bless Keep it up
Thank you so much for this version. Amazing work. You don't know how much i wish to see Liam playing live songs of this era with Bonehead.
That's amazing! I always thought that there should be more videos about the early days and that's the best one I could ask for. Thanks James ♥️
I wasn't even aware of this song until a few months ago. Great job making it into a proper recording. It sounds very new-wavish to me.

But when definitely maybe came out in ‘94 I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.
That TDK cassette (version 2) is a copy I made off my original. My handwriting. Great job on the rebuild. Love to Bonehead. ❤️
Keep the great content coming James! Cheers from Montreal, Canada!
Appreciate your work a lot James !
Excellent work James - thank you for this gift :)
Great stuff James the way you produce it all and mix it together. The drumming and guitars sound so def maybe it’s a great job.
Absolutely brilliant - fantastic work!
Love this, would be class to see another one of these on ‘See The Sun’ or the original ‘Lock All The Doors’
Haha brilliant! At the start of the video I had very low expectations… but you’ve made that song come alive! Was never a fan of the track before but love this! Great work my friend 👍

Spot on. And Tony’s drumming on the live version is 🔥🔥🔥
Hiya James, i'm a music producer / mixing engineer and i can hear that the method you used to isolate the vocals is rather outdated, if you like, i can probably get them a fair bit cleaner! just let me know if that'd be something that interests you, keep up the good work!

Im so glad for Bonehead, he deserves every bit of this victory lap. Love your videos!
I wanna download this version 💪💪 James kicking ass on guitar as always, cheers from Ireland ❤️
I’m glad someone’s covered this. This is the song that made me want to start a band when I saw the scene from the Supersonic documentary. I went to the location of the old boardwalk which was abit surreal to think they played this tune there, 30 years ago. I covered this by ear when I was 15 so 2/3 years ago now which has kinda become my like spirit song as I know it inside and out haha. I also did this for a project at college which sounded immense to hear through huge monitors after my own rebuild. I did play this at an open mic once when I said, here’s take me by oasis. Everyone was so confused. Just a banger which deserves some shine
That is actually amazing. Quality work
I'm really impressed mate!! Well done!!🤛
Absolutely love it James ✌🏼💙
Amazing video as usual james 👏🏻
Great content as usual James. Definitely hear the early 90s influence almost a touch of shoegaze.
You deserve more subs mate this is beyond amazing the work that I know it takes to creat thi cteation
Thanks James. Was looking for guitar parts and got a whole rebuild. Take Me is like Oasis trying to "be" as en entity, trying to form and find its voice... The song just says "we re coming to rock the world, just wait" And this song is not even on an album... The greatness ... It was written in stars
Awesome James. Two thumbs up!
Thank you! I adore this song! Thank you… Great job…
sounds great! personally I would have just included one of the vocal takes, not two. there’s a weird out of phase thing going on. but you did all the hard work! well done mate
fucking awesome mate. best version ive heard. liam and bonehead need to hear this
The final product sounds terrific! Great job.
Good Tune Good Upload Great That We Can See Your Shoulders James! Cheers Mate! Thanks for All of your Time and Effort!
This is awesome. Great job. 👍
Great work on a great song!
Can we just appreciate the song structure: Intro guitar solo, Verse 1, Verse 2, Guitar solo, Verse 3, Guitar solo, Verse 4, Guitar solo (No chorus in the whole song) It doesn't get more rock and roll than that folks 🤣

Well, it's because Digsy's Dinner is better.
Always loved this song...so menacing and powerful.I've been checking periodically on Boneheads twitter to see how he's getting on with his treatment but didn't really see anything at all...so glad to hear he's finally got the all clear.
Sounds like a lot of the post-punk startup bands' early stuff. It's like they bypassed 5-10 years of hard-knock songwriting lessons just by getting Noel in the band.
Incredible work James. I'm beginning to really enjoy your videos, especially your recent interview with The Real People (my favourite band). I was wondering if you would consider rebuilding Colour My Life? That song's absolutely biblical!
Brill video - love some of those early songs like colour my life
Always loved this song

Holy shid, anyone getting dead kennedy's police truck as james does the solo bit.. Love it since its use in supersonic doc and their yonder years in the wilderness or early 90's.

Man I love this song, I used to play along with it. Probably the only time I ever used delay and chorus lol
That sounded great! Oasis were more than just Noel.
These need to actually be released; both versions! Version one though is truly Magical and nobody in the modern day can make music like this; it's so infectious. I just wish they could somehow be recorded and released in ultra sound quality and then be able to buy.
This is so damn cool
