Don't forget that he was more than off of his head with coke at that moment so he was more self confident and "arrogant" than ever i'm sure that"s a part of why he forces his voice that much, that's Liam's attitude and the reason we love him :)

His voice is not gone. It's just different. It happens to everyone. Axl's voice is gone. Now that's a dude that should just hang it up. Liam still can sing it's just different than it used to be.

Liam sounds fucking mega these days, dunno what he done but he dramatically improved his voice from previous years, check his latest unplugged album.
