Without his brother constructing that image, they would have been just like any other band. You have to give Liam that.. So when you hear stories of Liam making or progressing that image, just be a little less harsh. Noel wrote some great songs, but Liam's presentation is what sticks in the minds from this gig... This was, apart from the word, their introduction. And THEY BOTH nailed it.

love the classic Tony Snare
Liam was ace at Sunderland too! Is brilliant to see this again! Noel, Liam, Guigsy, Bonehead and Tony the best! This was the first time I'd ever heard Noel sing and when he stood foward and started beltin it was mind blowing! I was 14 at the time with a very big crush on him lol - happy days!

And I had the biggest crush on Tony lol
The single greatest Oasis performance ever. I remember seeing this at the time, when Some Might Say hadn't even been released, and thinking "fuck, this is something else"
oasis at their peak, remember watching this, too cool, life was better in the mid 90's kids
I totally agree, this is the best version i've ever heard of this song, the vocals are spot on, great tempo
This song is amazing, I wonder what Noel was drinking when he said "B-side" it deserved to be on "What's the story?"

It was him being stubborn as they constantly asked him for new b-sides.
They’re so high I love it
Still watching and listening to this in 2017 🇬🇧🎸✌🏻️🍺👊🏻

I love how they would go onto mainstream TV with a new album to promote and then proceed to play b-sides. Goes to show the quality of Noels song writing at that time.
Classic song and a classic performance. Love the Liam stare at 3:02 ! Liam was hammered for this show, remember watching it live and a band who were on before performing had a drunk Liam just in the background sat there watching.

Short vhs quality clips were up and running by 1993. It took a long time to load, admittedly.
The fact this was a B Side still blows my mind. Unreal
2:08... Liam's supposed to say "There are many things that I would like to know.." and Noel stated in an interview once how Liam would ALWAYS mess this up, yet Liam being the lad that he is always argues this NEVER happens.. Classic brothers!
I almost wore my VHS of this out. I can't explain how exciting Oasis were to me as a 14 year old watching this. But seeing it again brings back those memories. It was an amazing time to be a teenager.
It's great to see no one filming shit on their iphone!

Pure brilliance. Peak Oasis.
One of the greatest songs ever. Every element borrowed from the past, but used beautifully. Like Shearer = sharp and deadly.
This is great footage, perfect performance
Legendary performance. Legendary.
Liam was unique, of course Noel wrote some blinding tunes but it was that voice and attitude that hooked me
noels voice is amazing on this!!!!
90's was one of the best decades. good old 90's
Oasis relegated better stuff to b-sides and unreleased album tracks than 99% of bands release as singles

You gotta really appreciate noel's stretch on "soul" when he first sings. Just like in the album version.
