Hello Gentlemen, just a heads up to people with strong/high prescription. My distance is +5.25 and near is +2.50. I have just purchased a pair of Holbrooks @£199 frame and @£350 progressives, with50% thinning. Total £549. I picked them up this week and, even with 50% thinning, they are still very thick, due to the large size of the lens area (43mm x 57mm). Luckily, the opticians will replace them with a different, smaller, frame and new lenses. UK based. Keep up the good work gentlemen - love your videos.

I’m getting the black ones with the transitions that darken behind your windshield, my older Oakley’s would only get dark outside, so I’m super excited about getting these, especially since I lost my Oakley Si Fuel Cell dogtag sunglasses and one of the arms fell off my scripted Oakley frames and couldn’t get a screw to thread back in

They are great. I get compliments daily on the style. It took a solid month to adapt to the progressive lenses. The transitions are sweet too......although no worky behind the windshield. I am a bike tech so they get used hard all day long in the grease and grime. I would highly recommend the Holbrook Rx

Just purchased a pair of Holbrook RX with oakleys progressive, self tinting lens with iridium tint. Can’t wait!

I really like that arctic surf color wave! I bought them just to put the regular sunglass lenses in! The new 57mm lenses are too tight! But the classic 55mm lenses fit just right! They feel a little more snug than regular Holbrooks!

Hi. The bridge of these glasses is too narrow for me. Do you have another Oakley or similar brand that is wider or at best can be adjusted as needed?

They even had these at a 59 in the Oakley store today.

Is it possible to switch in and out the prescription lenses with the sunglass lenses?

Hello Alberto! It is possible but we would not recommend switching them out excessively with a full frame. This ends up wearing down the edging on the lenses and after time the lenses may not sit in the frame as well as they used to. You are better off going with two separate pairs or one pair with transition lenses. How does the holbrooks conform to your face? In other words what do they mean by "heat up"

HI! The Holbrook Rx is different in size to that of the regular Holbrook sunglass frame, meaning the lenses cannot be swapped between the two models. Only lenses cut for the Holbrook Rx will work exclusively for the the Rx version, not its sunglass counterpart.

Will the 54 eye size fit an Asian face? The Holbrook Prizm gaming low bridge fit is actually too big but the nose bridge is perfect.

All im looking at is the lightbulb reflecting from the lens

When is Oakley going to offer a bigger selection of certified ANSI Z87 eyewear? I would like to use for work safety glasses.

So on the Oakley site the RX versions just say medium and small how do I know they’ll fit?

Hey David, great question. The Holbrook Rx comes in at a 54 and 56 eyesize, and SportRx Frame Width (SFW) of 132 and 136. An SFW of 132 generally fits like a men's medium, while a 136 fits like a medium/large. Hi, I was wondering if I could put the regular tinted prism polarized lens 55mm in place if the clear rx in the 54mm model ir they ll be too big and wont fit? Otherwise, would i be able to swap the temples on holbrook xs 128mm for the standard 136? Thanks alot

Hi there! The Holbrook rx and Holbrook sun are slightly different sizes so the lenses are not compatible. It is unlikely the temples can be swapped but we are not 100% sure on that one.

Yes, you can with SportRx brand lenses! Oakley's direct labs unfortunately no longer produce authentic lenses for the Jawbone model

Hello Harley! The Oakley Holbrook sunglass lens width actually measures as a 55mm right across the center of the lens so that is what Rob is referring to in the video. We have different measurements than Oakley because they measure the lens width differently. I am guessing they measured it higher up on the lens where it bows out and is wider. I just picked up my Holbrook sunglasses Asian fit in prescription lenses and I felt like I was looking though a fish bowl. Help?! They took them back and blamed it on the curvature of the framed mixed with my prescription. Is there truth in this statement? My optician is going to downgrade the script to fit my older script which I’m fine with.

How is going on for you Hyuphoto? I ordered Holbrook RX and I have the same problem, its like looking trough a fish bowl and there is too much peripheral distortion. The difference with my old glasses which I wore for 5 years is only -0.25, but looking trough Holbrook RX is just... horrible. I tried to adapt for 5 days, but it was still bad and I can't drive my car, because I feel like I am drink. On fifth day I realized the same as your optician which is the curvature of the frame is too big. These rims are not for prescription lenses, the design is bad and I burned a lot of money for them.

But i just bought centerboard..dayyum

I ordered the clear $135 holbrooks thinking they were gaming glasses, did I pay $135 just for a frame??

Hi there! We can make you custom rx sunglass lenses for this model but the Holbrook RX is a different size than the Holbrook sunglass so the lenses are not interchangeable between the two models.
