Big fan of how they say "brother who is weaker" instead of "brother that is weaker." Pretty much makes this the best version.

Song written by Glen Campbell. It made the Top 40 of the country music station I was at, KMOR, SLC, UT. We were probably among the first non-gospel radio stations to play one of their singles.

I remember singing this at catholic folk/guitar masses on Sunday mornings in the very early 1970s.

Looks like it's been several years since anyone has watched this video. I am still reminded that for the day the Oak Ridge Boys was the best vocal gospel group of the day. It seemed to me that their production values of all their songs were just a little better than ever other group of that day. Really would like to have known who produced their music in studio. They were also a great live group. Only group that started to come close in that day was The Imperials and they were doing more contemporary music in the 70's.

I don't know how old Duane Allen is, but he's been singing for a long time. He's a great one, too.

Duane is my favorite. I also liked the songs they did with Steve Sanders. He had a beautiful voice.

Underrated song and recording. Written and recorded by Glen Campbell, but I prefer the vocals by the Oak Ridge Boys. I have an original 45. Thanks for posting.
