Oak cabinet with lattice doors

In this video I demonstrate the process of making an oak cabinet for my friend and at the same time the godfather of my younger son David. I have long offered making something like this for his home to commemorate our friendship. Although I think this cabinet will serve more than one of his generations. All the material for making this locker was provided to me, only the idea and execution was mine. I think this cabinet will fit nicely into the interior of his living room or bedroom if he will be able to carry it up the narrow stairs to the 2nd floor. But, everything is in his hands, carring heavy bulky things up narrow stairs can become a real quest.
Not sure if he will read this video description but next weekend I plan to venture to visit him with my whole family and deliver the gift. Today, this is a risk, as he lives close to the border with Belarus, which is Russia's aid in its aggression against Ukraine, and from where, as you all know, we expect an invasion at any moment. But now there are strong floods, so we can take a risk and finally go to visit my friend and other my relatives who live in the north-west of Ukraine.
I want to remind all my subscribers and viewers that the brutal war started by Russia against Ukraine continues, Russian aggressor does not plan to change its criminal plans. We sincerely appreciate and thank all our allies and partners for their support.

When I first started watching your channel a couple of years ago I thought you were just someone that enjoyed working with wood. I was so wrong. You are a master craftsman. I've never seen anything made with the skill and care in which you make your furniture. Thanks for letting us watch. 🏆❤

I have to agree with nenaelliott8058, you are a master craftsman. I'm 60, I have been in the building trade and cabinetry for 40 years, I've rarely seen talent like yours.

Thank you, this gives them the opportunity to touch the finished product and show that these things are real and can be created with their own hands, the main thing is that there is a desire to create something with their own hands against all odds!

What you build is many times more beautiful and valuable than the cheap, wobbly stuff you can buy in many furniture stores. You can really only find so much attention to detail in pieces of furniture that have been made with love, from solid wood and by hand. I admire people who can do that. I'm always thrilled (and relieved) when I see a new notification of your video. I'm a 72 yr old woman with arthritis & haven't a hope of doing anything remotely like you do. But I love to see you take a few pieces of wood & turn it into art that's strong enough to hold your 2 beautiful (and growing) children.
