Hendry trying to make himself feel better instead of mentioning anything about the brown beating his record he talks about the red to the middle 🤣🤣🤣

So he doesn't commentate on the match with Ronnie equalling, but on the match where he breaks it. Awesome.

lol Hendry talking about going behind the red when potting the brown will make the century. must be annoyed and feel a bit down when you are looking at the one who is going to surpass your biggest record.

Yea. If Ronnie had Hendry's, constant attack, aggressive, winning mind. He would of easily got to 1000. And If his dad did not go to prison , it might of made his depression worse.

I think the exact opposite. When did Ronnie ever perform when he thought he has to win because he's the best and everybody knows? That was the years 1995-2001 and he didn't really perform too well there. Since he just plays for fun and not for records(2012-2017), he's winning the big titles one after another. Ronnie only works when does not focus on winning too much and just has fun playing the game he loves.

Ronnie will definitely make it to the thousandth. He's still going headstrong and even making centuries and Maxis (146s xD)

Who knows maybe the great Ronnie o Sullivan will brake Hendrys record of world titles too and maybe even surpass 10 world titles and if he was to do that he would become the 2nd most successful player in world championship history behind the great Joe Davis

I don't think any of the records before 1978 really count. They were usually challenge matches. They didn't play any rounds, it was just simply a one match shoot out over 48 or more frames, at a billiards club, with the winner calling himself world champion, simply because they won a challenge match against Joe or Fred, or whoever the current trophy holder was. And remember, Joe paid for and purchased the trophy in the 1920s, to help justify himself as a world champion. No particular venue was chosen, just a club, the tables were not ratified, and the match was simply a one match best of, with the winner walking away with the trophy - or as in most cases, Joe keeping the trophy, because no one could beat him in the challenge match. The modern era, saw ratified tables by the wpbsa, with pockets measured to the mm, the middle pocket angled correctly with a proper knuckle, and played over multiple rounds against qualifiers, and the top 16 players in the world. That's taking nothing away from the great Joe and Fred Davis though. But you have to remember that it took Joe more than 30 years to score a televised century, even though television had been around for 25 years at that point. Of course, Joe was a gentleman player, and was the most gifted and talented snooker player in the world for many many years, but it wasn't until the modern era after 1978, that you had to beat players throughout the top 16, and qualifiers, over multiple tounds before you could call yourself a world champion.
