Bravo! He approached the song as one would an Art Song or then an Opera aria. My initial feeling was that the tempo was too slow, but, he managed to sustain such beautiful long phrases with exquisite breath control that I started relaxing in the knowledge that he had enough technical skill to conclude this rendition successfully. He showed absolute respect towards the text and music. As a professional vocal accompanist, I wish I could play the piano part for him. A life's Dream....

No, he is a genuine tenor who could make a good living as a baritone if he wanted to, with a little adjustment. This is fine rendition of this great classic. Perhaps a little slow paced for some, and he "scooped" slightly to the high note in the second verse, but still very beautiful.

테너는 목짧고 키작은 분(?) 이건 편견이였군요.다른 성악가분들하곤 먼가 다르신거 같아요.

Always sad and embarrassing when some has read a few voice critics and think to convince others that they are knowledgeable experts. Whether you like the tenor or not he has sung Don Jose, Turiddu, Don Carlos and Manrico and others at a major opera house. A baritone? Dear me. As to whether he is spinto or dramatic who cares? Try listening and enjoying. It isnt too difficult even for the pompous know-alls.

How very beautiful - an outpouring of lovely tones - but surely you are a high baritone? - that lower range is very "dark" for a tenor? Your top note took a lot of effort and you used too much vocal cord weight....you need to slim the tone down here...but...thank you. - hope to hear more of you.

+Lorna Kelly I guess MusicalArtists is a big fan of him. Im a big fan of Yong Hoon Lee too. Do you know Yong Hoon Lee is exclusively contracted with Metropolitan Opera? Your comments are great and helpful but It could be seen as a judging someone's singing. I respect your opinion but if you know about him more you may know that he doesn't need to inform such comments. His vocal technique is Lowered Larinx technique that Franco Corelli used. If you compare Corelli and Yong Hoon you will see what I'm saying. I think you are a good singer and passionate teacher. I love that. Have a nice day and God bless you.

James Y, it was not a criticism but an observation from my accumulated experience of 50 years of teaching. That equates to half a century. How old are you James? To correct your erroneous assertion about my childhood, I was happy with the little I had with wonderful devoted parents. Not a fan of Rene no. Its a pity you are so defensive and judgmental...your kind of comments are not useful.

the original French text is the song of Christmas, the birth of the Redeemer, not a song of Holy Night. Christmas is not Holy Night. The English translation took away the focus of the song. Mr. Lee even messed up the translated bad English text and on top of that his English pronunciation was not good. Also I hear the warning sign of his vocal technique. His voice above the passaggio sounds very unnatural, sounds like there is lack of breath support so he has to push his voice by using upper chest. I heard Renata Tebaldi singing Desdemona in her later years and she had the similar problem.

I hate to say that this is the worst rendition I have ever heard. His English diction is horror and messed up the text and mixing Korean and English text was very bad idea. Not a serious singing.
