Man, I really like this video. Good job!👌🚉
Great video Johnny. I have added you on to my viewing videos. I enjoyed your tour layout including the Landscaping. Try taking a aerial view of your layout. It was very informative and I like your sharing of how you did everything. I also watched your video on the York train show. Looking forward to your next video. You are very smart and you break everything down so that we can understand how to do things. You have a great personality and your enthusiasm for the hobby comes through when you are sharing your videos. I also follow the guys that you named in your video. Great group of guys who share their passion for the hobby. Thanks again for sharing your layout with us.
You have a really fun and thoughtful layout! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice,thank you.
Solid layout! I really love the yard. Thanks for sharing.
Funny about the ww2 reenactor. My father was ww2 German renactor for 42+ before passing away. Model railroader since age of 12.he passed at age 75. My love for both hobbies comes from him. Great to see you enjoy this type history.
Love it when Did your Homework Keep on Modeling.

Love your layout Johnny and nice work on this video! The narrative and imagery were well done. Now I need to create my own “removable scenery” pieces. It was great to get an overview of the whole setup!

You guys with newer layout can take advantage of things that we learned from the old days to do better. So much of the electronics that they had in the old days have been obsolete for decades. Even an HO scale when I had turnouts going to Industries I did not switch cars I just fired up my trains and ran and since Old Gage switches are $100 plus I just have four ovals of ever-increasing radii so I can run larger locomotive if I get them. Nice layout.
Wow! I'm impressed, great job!

Looks incredible!
This was a great video from start to finish. You managed to take a small layout and make it look like a large layout. It's always nice to watch another modeler present their layout. This allows another to pick up ideas to improve theirs. Great Work!!!!!

This was a masterclass in how layout overviews should be done, I didn’t even realize that it was 25 minutes long. I enjoyed all the different segments and explanations of what you were going for, wishes for the future. It was also very inspiring, I have been working on my new layout that I had to put on hold due to the price of lumber right now. I have been going back and forth on my Main Street layout and seeing your Main Street gave me some ideas that will work better with the limited space. I’ve rambled enough, awesome video, be safe and happy railroading!

It's nice to see younger guys into train. There will always be trained nuts as we are called. Regular people cannot understand. Some people trains are approaching 100 years old. All of our train will outlive us and they will be enjoyed by other people until they die and they will be sold again. All of the owners of my standard gauge trains are dead. Unless everything is brand-new you have someone who died trains on your layout.
This is now my favorite episode for you Johnny. Great narrative moving through your topics and talking about why you did this and that. Great shots of your engines and just really informative from all aspects. Well done sir!

Nice job! good explanation of your buildings and techniques. And no Blah Blah droning along. Kept my interest. Your small station looks like an old Wabash Station which, as we know was absorbed into the N&W in 1964.
Johnny, your video is tremendous. I really loved your narrative of a absolutely gorgeous layout. As I have always said every model railroad has a story, you have told yours with perfection. Great looking layout !! Looks like a lot of fun to run trains on great video too!!
I like Mike's train house Wheel tracks with the solid Rail and Road bed. Never any problems but I would not take them apart over and over. I bought a circle of 042 and I did not know that they had cheapen them out by not having solid rail anymore and the seller asked if I wanted to send it back as I said no I'll use it. I also used it for an outside layout and I had no trouble in Florida. Of course it doesn't snow in Florida but I know a guy who has a outside layout up north and he uses a Mike's train house rotary snow plow around his layout and it really works. The real tracks Looks Like HO Scale Track like Atlas but with a third rail. I went through all of that crap with the cork Road bed and the ballasting and the glue and the expense and never again
Outstanding collection john.merry Xmas

Nice job. yeah I used to do "movable scenery" on one of my last layouts (in Z scale) and I could change out scenes, hills, etc and store in a container. I agree track is always an issue, so I don't mess around and tend to go with good trusted brands. I will also paint and weather my track before or during the installation process, then clean it up afterwards, its tricky to paint and weather track after you are trying to run trains. Good thing about 0 Scale is you can do a lot finer detail than the smaller scales, now that there is a lot of 0n30 as well, you can potentially run dual gauge even in such a small space (you could do a raised mining loop).
@Audamus
3 жыл бұрын
Movable scenery is awesome and helps me to get nicer shots on the layout and have the freedom to change it up later on. If I was smart I would have held off on scenery and finish the other work first but I’m impatient so here we are 😅 Cool idea with the narrow gauge line, I’ll have to consider that~
No one who was the Model Railroader in the 1970s would believe that there would be so many three rail O gauge layout 50 years later. Of course today's old gauge layout is not like a 1950s one it is more like a HO scale but twice as large. It would be nice if it was not cursed with the third-rail but that's the way it is
Lionel made super 0 track and go 36 so you could use Atlas track plans. They did the same for Fast Track. I have one of my uncle's old train books on building a layout and it was $2 back when an issue of Model Railroader with $0.35.
Great layout and great video! I actually built the Black River Junction in HO and I still love it. I am dabbling in O now and building a 12x12 layout, so I appreciate all the time you took to think it through, I am taking my time on it as well. Best of luck!
