This is a song written and performed by Emeli Sandé. Emeli explained the meaning of this ballad to Q magazine: "It's about trying to get into the industry, keeping faith in myself when I felt that many of the labels didn't have faith in me. It's about being called a clown or an idiot for wanting to chase after what you want, because people will always say you're rubbish and all the rest of it, but if you don't follow what you want to do then you won't achieve anything fulfilling." The song's black-and-white video was directed by W.I.Z, who has previously worked with Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys. The clip finds Sandé in a military style interrogation room and its concept concerns making a stand and believing in oneself. "It's about how I felt when I was trying to get signed, I was going for all these meetings and people were looking at me like, 'What do we do with you?'" Sandé said. "It's about not allowing yourself to be judged by others or to be taken for an idiot. I feel the video reflects that."

O'G3ne seriously are amazing. I don't get why they aren't more popular outside of the Netherlands. Except on reaction channels outside of the Netherlands ofcourse.

You realy have to hear there song : Light and Shadows ! written by their father ... a tribute to there mother ... presentend at Eurovision a few years ago ... their mother passed away 2a few weeks later ... she had cancer !

I do think they feel everything much harder as there mom was fighting for her life a long time but unfortunatly did not survive... They enthered euro vision song contest and i used this song for my grandmas funeral! Lights and shadows by Ogene even written by there dad for his wife and their mom!

You really have to listen to their cover from a winning songfestival song. Rise like a phoenix. It is so fantastic!

Amy with 1 lung, tearing up and at the end of the performance asking if they could do it over..while she was phenomenal :)) her sisters ofcourse gave a great and phenomenal performance as wel, But Amy is just something else considering she has just that one lung. And Bro?? 48 yr old Veteran here so respect!! .people who look down upon others?? Thank you for your honest story. There are people who will always laugh about other people. I think that those people are actually unhappy thereselves. The happiest people laugh about themselves too and then go on and do the best they can to live a good life and make other people happy. At the end they are the most happy. ❤

After the performance Amy asks if they could do it again. She felt like it wasn’t that great because she got chocked up during the performance and felt like she couldn’t sing that well because of it. They are such perfectionists and she felt she didn’t do it justice.

I hide too often. Am physically handicapped and people outside look after me or laugh behind my back. This hurts and I won't pull this all my life. I hope it ends soon I'm in the process of moving to another place. I haven't had a hug in 2 years. Thanks for your comment videos. I look forward to it.

This song gives me goosebumps

The middle one is the oldest sisters, the two others are twins. What will never stop amazing me is that the one of the right - the tiniest one - only has one lung due to illness. They sang for the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest and performed with a song especially for their mother who was terminally ill then. Unfortunately she passed away a few months later. The sisters didn't win, didn't even enough points to make a difference, but to me and countless others, especially their mom, they were the winners that night.

It's a home isolation version, so you can really see the emotion in their eyes. They were seperated at the time they were singing this because of the health issues of Amy.
