Finally, you're back home!

The 7 is my favorite train to ride in queens, it has the best views and plot of transfers to busses and laguridia airport, I ride it almost every Saturday as soon as the sun comes up and I always make sure to get a window seat

Like a few commenters, I grew up taking the #7 out of Main St. Flushing. Funny how the station signs still include the historic street names (like 46 St. - Bliss), even though they haven't been officially used in around a century. Not much of an express, only skipping four stops, but 74 St. should be an express stop anyway. Since the IRT was built before the IND, 74 St. was probably not such an important station without the transfers. Court Sq. (originally Courthouse Sq.) is a lot busier now that it is a transfer station at the end of the G line. Nice that one of your fans got to meet you when leaving the train at 40 St.!

35 minutes give or take on the express from Times Sq (old terminus) to Main St Flushing. It is a great train line, most days.

You are correct that the 7X should be running express, but due to ongoing construction on the entire line, the express service is not fully operational along the entire line.

Interesting video, at least for anyone who doesn't take the 7 train every day to commute. I used to take the 1 and the A train every school day for 4 years, I can play that video in my head on demand, lol. Thanks, AK, thumbs up and on your last vid with the turnstile jumping skateboarders.

Great video. So many trains go there. The card tap seems easy. I'm old enough to remember tokens :)

You can also take the LIRR on the Port Washington branch to midtown Manhattan from Flushing

The most exciting time taking 7 was on 1964-65 World's Fair Special. Reno or new cares which were very good compared to the old ____ which were running on most of the subway lines. The huge sign on top of of big fat square shape bldg. had name 3 sides if not all of the bldg. The train make several turns around there, and it looked like you kept going and yet still in the same place as the view and distance to the bldg. not changing. This is near Court Sq. and was either the Adams /. Chiclets gums, or Swingline (staplers) both near to each other.
