It's crazy to think that Mater Dei is down the street from where I live

Pay attention all other schools, it's not just about having very talented and physically gifted players......it's also about the coaching staff, obedience, discipline and will to win. That's what separates these two schools from everyone else.

Its a very good recipe but I kind of like a little more spice of talented players over good coaching.

Should be #1 vs #2. How IMG is even in the top3 is beyond me when they’ve played absolutely nobody. MD could possibly lose to SJB or Servite and same for Bosco. They got IMG sitting up there as if they’re worthy of a top5 spot

All 3 Trinity League teams you mention hold the Natty destiny in their hands and will have to beat the other 1-2 times including playoffs. Man, that’s just tough.

@Brian Lind Yeah I watched that. You’re right that was a good game. But the teams change and I don’t think IMG has been playing at the level MD or SJB has been for the past 5 years. This year alone both Bosco and MD have played some quality opponents while IMG has played the SECs ooc schedule and yet they’re sitting at #2 for what exactly? Lol

If you’re referring to the large African American population that attends Mater Dei , then I honestly don’t think that you HAVE to be Catholic to go to the school. A lot of people attend catholic schools because they have more opportunities. And even though you have to practice being catholic, I don’t think you actually have to be catholic. it’s hard to explain. Catholic, and other religious schools offer a lot more than regular schools do.

I attended this school 25 yrs ago and had classmates that were also Jewish and Muslim. The curriculum included catholic as well as world religion classes. Their parents placed them in this school for the excellent college placement. The football program exists in its own parallel universe...

Just as students don't have to be atheists to attend public schools, they don't have to be Catholic or whatever to attend private schools connected to religious institutions. But no need to explain what you already know.
