Great breakdown, as ever. Thank you, thank you. I've posted your channel in the USWNT and NWSL subreddits. They've been really well received there.

They gave me such a great example to work with.
Love these videos! New to watching the NWSL so I've appreciated seeing more inside looks at players and teams. Keep it up!

So happy to hear that! I'm just trying to make the type of videos I want to see.
Loving your video analyses!! I never played soccer, I've only watched nwsl/uswnt games for a few years and I feel like I can understand the big picture of teams/games and can figure out generally the reasons why a team can look good/bad. Your insights, however, are on a whole other level I never would have thought about! I keep learning new things with every vid you post, glad I found your channel!!

That makes me so happy to hear. It's such a fantastic game that teams can choose to make really simple or really complex, endless things to analyze!
Excellent analysis as usual! I don't know if it shows up in your analytics but I found out about your channel through the NWSL subreddit and have been promoting it on Mastodon. I totally get being shy about self-promotion but your stuff is really good - and fans are so hungry for good woso analysis, promoting yourself is really just doing everyone a favor. :)

That is very cool of you, I greatly appreciate that. The analytics only tell me the source, not what was actually shared so it's been interesting trying to follow the flow of traffic. I'd never heard of Mastodon until now but I'm definitely warming up to the idea of hopping into some of these other spaces to join in on conversations.
What a blast to learn to identify all the tactics and formations. I would love to see you back up a minute and do an analysis of the impressive Girma/Davidson combo on the backline. These two have been universally praised as the backs for the Olympics, so i'd love to see how their tactics are working for them. Plus a little more pub won't hurt their odds lol

I've been thinking of doing the Gold Cup final vs Brazil ahead of the SheBelieves game against Japan to give folks some things to look for. So that could be a good angle for that, a defensive review. It's taken me a little while to warm up to Davidson because when I started watching her I went way back in time to her first USWNT games. She had a great game this weekend though!
I'm so glad I found your channel! I compare your show to the Great British Bake off, so calming. If you could breakdown every NWSL game, or at least Spirit and Gotham, that would be great, thanks 😂

Bake off isn't a comparison I would've thought of but I'll take it! Gotham and Courage could be really interesting, might be that next week if it's a good one.
I've played soccer since 1978, watched it since 1994, read Inverting the Pyramid and consumed more KZread tactics videos than I can count. I feel I understand more from five of your videos than all the other stuff combined.

That's very cool to hear. I'm coming back to the game after a long time off so I'm not very well read in this area, Inverting the Pyramid looks like a good place to start.
Once again, *excellent* analysis. I especially loved the breakdown of Utah's first goal on the corner kick. Until you showed it, I hadn't seen how well-designed that play was, with Kate Del Fava deliberately (and deceptively) dropping back into space, where she was left unmarked. My question is, why aren't you on one of those big shows on ESPN or Prime or Ion? Your dissection of film is as good as anyone's I've seen there. Seriously! One last note -- that second PK was awarded not because of the keeper leaving her line early, but because a foul was committed inside the box right after the first PK try.

Thanks for the kind words, a girl can dream! On the PK, I just watched the highlights and caught the slide - I must've watched the kick 20 times but missed it. Thanks for catching that for folks.
great analysis

So happy to hear that.
Was the second penalty because Haught was off her line for the first or because there was a foul in the box immediately after the first? Highlights show a foul, but some of the commentary might have been cut out.

Another commenter cleared it up for me, there was a slide tackle on Ashley Sanchez that resulted in a second penalty. So not even a retake!

I thinlk there was a second penalty after they showed the replay of a NC player getting taken out buy a Utah defender in the far corner of the box..
Unless they spend a lot of cash, the Royals will have problems attracting a star player from Europe or Brazil to Utah. Why go there when you can go to NY or CA? The altitude at America First Field is a big advantage, though, 4,450 feet above sea level.

That's too funny, that was one of my first thoughts when they announced Utah! I'd be so annoyed to finish college in a place I loved and then get shipped to Utah. I'm sure there's plenty of people that would love it, but they're not going to be Brazilian or French. I'm very excited to see how the conditioning plot line plays out. I've always felt there needs to be a Colorado team with how many prospects are from there, but maybe it's just the thin air.
Do you plan on analyzing other leagues?

I'd love to once I get a little bit more experience under my belt. I am going to do UWCL semis and final for sure.
