Aloha from Kauai Island. Happy i bought 1 share at 388.00... my friend who works for the company made 750,000 about a year ago. We from the S.F. bay area. Dont no miss this, this like more than Microsoft back in late 80s and 90s. I could of bought 10,000 dollars microsoft. In 88/89. Nvidia is still solid. Gold in the rivers! The whole network of data centers/studies/ science/health care is getting a upgrade! Wood to Steal! Bronze to Silver to Gold ages!

You bought 2 times 1 share? Or you bought a fraction of a share, and you actually hold nothing, but your broker owns the shares. Fraction buying is not possible with serious brokers

Hi and yes, the same logic applies, most brokers these days allow fractional stock trading so don't worry, it will be adjusted accordingly so you should then own 7 shares, might take a few more days for fractional shares to be adjusted though. Cheers

Nice video for beginners.. My biggest holding in one company. As I dont like having more than £85K platform. I have these shares spread over numerous platforms now . Great video ! But one question! If I buy one share today , that the market is closed , will my order be executed before the split , buying the stock normally for its current price , or is there a possibility that the order is executed AFTER the split , essentially paying 10 times the price ?

You'll be paying the same price either way. If you were to order one share today for 1200 (considering your broker hasn't already changed the price), you will pay 1200 when the market opens but get not one but ten shares.

Hi and thanks a lot. Usually I do not recommend to buy stocks when the market is closed as the price might not be the best and you could have higher spreads. Either way the total amount you spend will be the same either way, once markets open on Monday you will have the adjusted amount in your portfolio 👌

I had 5 NVDA shares before the split .Then after the split it said I had 50 shares but now when I check .y account it says 5 shares not sure what that is ?

Hi and no worries at all, depending on your broker this might take a few days to adjust, but will be done so eventually and you'll have 500 shares instead of 50 👌

Hi, I think there might be a bit of additional short-term upward momentum, but for me right now it's a bit too hot and overhyped, though long-term I still see them as a solid company to have in the portfolio. I own them through my S&P 500 holdings, but not directly. Cheers

Well all i know is that you cannot go wrong taking profit at near high. No one ever went broke taking a 10% loss. It's best if you consult with a fiduciary advisor to get informed buying & selling decisions..

Hi Richard, well done and what a return you had. If you need the money I would definitely take some profits now, leave the rest or split it across different stocks or even S&P 500 to have it more stable in case you need more money for your treatments and you don't want to be in a position where NVIDIA corrects in price when you need the money and some of the profits will be wiped out. Hi and no, you did not loose anything, this will be adjusted in 1-2 days automatically in your browser, you will have 10 times the number of shares so total value will be the same 👌

i am in panic!! i was holding NVDA on Revolut and now I can see the price of stock changed but my total number of shares stays the same 😮 So looks i lost all my value 10x times 😮 I appreciate you mentioned in this video that they will adjust my number of shares when the market opens today, but are you sure about that? I kinda new to stock trading and it was my understanding that they will automatically increase my number of shares at the same moment when they decrease the price by 10x. Please help me, because I am nervous and stressed. 😮

Hi and please don't be nervous, all is ok and the adjustments might take 1-2 days depending on your broker and then you will have 10X more shares so the total value of your portfolio will be the same as before, don't worry, this happens many times before so you can rest assured all is good 👌

you're talking about a stock being undervalued or overvalued....he used the term 'expensive' in the normal way, meaning 1000 is expensive to people than 100...he wasn't talking about the stock's book value vs market value, he was referring to affordability

Its nice to digest information that is designed to teach, not designed to use the name of Nvidia to get views. all one has to do is listen to commentators discuss the impact AFTER split- so many just say "it will be more accessible", when in reality, a fractional buy @ .1 is the same as a full buy @ 1 (in Nvidias case). Even the premiums will reflect this.

Just be patient. It’s not yet updated by your broker. It might take 1-3 business days to be updated
