Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang On How His Big Bet On A.I. Is Finally Paying Off - Full Interview
Ahead of this year’s Nvidia GTC developer conference, CNBC sat down with founder and CEO Jensen Huang to talk about ChatGPT, gaming, the omniverse, and what’s next. In this full interview, Huang takes us on the journey of Nvidia, from its early days in a condo to the dominant player in GPUs, gaming, and now A, which is a major focus of GTC this year. Huang also talks about how he handled China export controls, and geopolitical tensions swirling around Taiwan where most of its chips are made.

What a wonderful, mild mannered and thoughtful leader - Jensen is next level as a communicator. The interviewer is excellent as well who poses smart questions and lets Jensen do all the talking - the way it should be
I have to say whilst Jensen handles every interview well and is one of the top 3 CEOs in the world right now the quality of Katie Tarasov is unbelieveably refreshing. So many fall for the ego of trying to show their own knowledge rather than offering prompts to allow the Interviewer to speak. Exceptionally high quality interview.
More quarters and outlooks from big tech names, powered by Nvidia (which has more chips than we thought!), as well as this trader FOMO, may lead to renewed buying strength in markets in September and October. I want to invest more than $300k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk

This is a myth. If they wanted to, they could order more wafers from TSMC. In fact, they were supposed to receive more wafers, but decided to cut them down (back in ~October 2022, as I remember). They decided not to create more GPUs, deliberately, as a choice - to artificially slow down supply, sell Ampere stock, and inculcate a new price floor on consumers for generations to come.

@@Mrfiufaufou It's literally the exact opposite. You can't blame people for making choices that benefit themselves: their budgets are tight, the information they have about the products they consume is limited, their education is inadequate, etc. You're putting the burden on the wrong people. You know who you can blame? The entity that oversees the entire chain of production. The entity who makes all the decisions about their product. The entity that fully understands what their product is, does, and how much it costs. The entity that unilaterally sets prices, that avoids regulations, that rips off or lies to consumers in a myriad of ways.

Yeah, NVIDIA was a gaming hardware company and for years produced great affordable gaming GPUs that suprisingly worked for 3D pro work using Maya and Softimage while Real3D and Permedia were selling super pricey cards for that. The scientific/AI compute is relatively recent but it was pretty easy to see where that was going when NVIDIA introduced shaders. To be fair, BitBoys never-made-to-market Pyramid3D had computable pixel pipelines too.

@@S.Madman dear gamers, we’re sorry we skipped the 50 series. Although our new 6080 only has 12GB VRAM, it doesn’t matter. Using our NVIDIA super magic AI technology, games will utilize DLSS 8.0, AI magic super frame generation, TensorCoreRayTrace AI technology to give you the “same” image” for only 1/4th the normal VRAM. Don’t worry if these aren’t real, rasterized frames. Just buy our product.

Humans repeat mistakes when we don't learn from our history. Gaming should be the future of education as the best learning should be fun and rewarding. If everyone alive learns new things everyday becase of your company than you have truly done something great.
What an outstanding interview! It really takes a visionary to identify how things are going to develop in the future and to be able to make bets on those things TODAY, so that those investments become fruitful and useful for the society, accelerating human development.
People talking smack on nvidia but I’ve been floored by how good my RTX 4090 is. Feels like I’m gaming on a PlayStation 8

Yeah bro, these idiots hate on Nvidia but cannot accept the fact that nvidia has really great technology and absolutely dominates the market
This video aged like fine wine
Like him or hate him, he has put the United States AI race in a HUGE advantage to the point of almost insurmountable and he ain't even getting close to done yet. Nvidia also seems to be the ONLY company that's pushing PC graphics HARDWARE to the next level - love AMD/Intel but they're just following whatever Nvidia is pushing :D

that's just so true, nvidia is not just some another company. it is a company that still has its founder at helm who is driven by pure inner passion and love for his company and will go to any lengths to make sure that his company dominates the world

Right, Living in India where i used to pay 30k or 50k for a graphics card , now have to pay 70k 90k for the same graphics card for my clients pc built. What a nice guy. And my clients think i am the worst guy ever.

Jensen Huang is my God. Retired at age 41 this week thanks to this calm humble down to earth super genius 🙏 I’ve been 100% NVDA since 2019. I only bought more in glee in the dips including fall 2022 “ok the bottom is around here somewhere I KNOW that, just buy systematically every Friday, same amount, bit by bit, drip 💧in 💧 drip 💧 drip in Nvdia drip drip CONGRATULATIONS 🍾🎉🎈
Mr. Huang is one smart gentlemen
I remember seeing a 3dfx gpu ad in a video game magazine when I was a kid and all I could think was, wth is this thing and how does this thing make video games work. Gpu's have always fascinated me ever since then and i've owned many of them. Crazy how far gpu's have come and how they went from driving gamers favorite pass time to being one the most important products in the world, a product that will drive humanity forward by enabling creations that will increase the health and life spans of humans, lower poverty and make college level educations cheap or perhaps even free if you're willing to put up with ads. I just hope Jensen doesn't forget about the people who funded his company and made it all possible. Don't stop making gaming gpu's and stop making them so expensive lol.
😊it was an awesome interview
I think it's actually his $1,400 GPUs people keep buying that are paying off
