Recreational hunting is a crime

I have a funny story about these. In Texas, I did landscaping work for 16 years. I was clearing brush with w weedeater by a creek and one of these darted out, ran between my legs, and into the water. I threw the weedeater and fell backwards into the creek, my lead man was of course rolling on the ground laughing, well, I got my composure, and not two feet away, a giant bullfrog jumped up and hit me in the face. I'm like I'm going home before I have heart failure.

Here in Washington State we have an animal called a marmot. My dog is obsessed with chasing them back into the storm drain or burrow. I don't think people eat them here. But if the zombie apocalypse happened and there was no food I would probably try one. 😂

A stand out edition for a New Year’s Eve! Really one of your best more for the company you shared. That young boy should long remember the day Red and YY spent with him. I am now getting ancient but can recall a hunting trip and another fishing one from well over fifty years ago. Bravo and everything you wish for the New Year. Get the footings in for that house!!

It would be great to see you start a hunting venture and have fans purchase a membership or book a hunting trip or fishing and trapping with you throughout the year. Would be a great idea I would love to have a day of adventure with you buddy. And a great way to interact with your fans and paid members.

Happy New Year Brother! It never cease to amazes me that these critters where brougt to this country in California in 1899 to support the fur trade. Eventually when they were brought to Louisiana they escaped and now you see what happens. We need to stop bringing non-native species to America.

When the fur trade was strong, nutria populations in South America were controlled due to nutrias being a revenue and a food source. When the fur trade died out, interest as a food source also died out. Consequently, nutrias are destroying vast areas of waterways, vegetation and riverbanks in South America where they are prevalent.

Back when Bizarre foods was on tv i watched a lot of shows on eating nutrias. It was like skinning rabbits and frying them up. Looked good and all the people said they were tasty. God gives us animals to eat, its up to us to prepare them correctly. Im glad you had a good time David☺️happy new year to you all🎉

A hundred + years ago, nutria fur was used in the production of fine hats. I used to clean and shape hats and it was a wonderful treat to have a nutria hat come in that was passed down through a family that knew its history. The fur made a thick, tough felt that was silky soft to touch. Many a tall crowned western hat was made of nutria and a hundred years later could handle a cleaning and come out looking brand new. Thoroughly enjoyed this hunt. Thanks a bunch, guys!
