Nutnfancy Philosophy: How to Deal with Difficult Family

Ғылым және технология

Mrs Nutnfancy and I are going to comfort her Dad who's brother just died. On this eventful ride you'll see heavy rain, a deer jump out in front of us, and some useless highway patrol harassing people. Amidst all this the conversation gets real as I address, mostly, mending relationships with difficult family members. I don't pull punches in this talk and it gets hard sometimes but in the end you might find a glowing true message of how to achieve a higher level of happiness. Another Nutnfancy Life video, this time on the BMW K1600GTL.

I was actually hired by UHP 6 years ago, but changed my mind when I found out they were sorting us in the hiring process to be jack boots and not constitutional law enforcement. I had a 25 year UHP veteran tell me as “father to son” it’s not a place for a good righteous person to work. He said I was the most qualified hire he had ever seen and he asked me not to join. My wife is also from Richfield, it is a lovely small town.

I haven’t seen or talked to my so called “parents” in 31 years now. When I was in 6th grade I said to myself I never want to grow up and be like them. One week after graduation my dad said if you don’t like it GET OUT! I threw what little I had in trash bags and never looked back. One thing I’ve learned in life is to eliminate the toxic people. I have the best wife in the world and try to surround myself around positive people. Life is good!

It’s very weird to me on how so many kids grow up and disrespect their own family. They go no contact, call their parents toxic or narcissistic and think nothing of the pain they cause their entire family. I’ll bet you have no contact with any of your relatives do you? They all seem to have zero empathy and think everything in the world revolves around them. This isn’t cool to me at all, it’s a damn shame that as an adult you chose ruin over counseling. I hope your children don’t do the same to you. You totally missed the good message of this video.

@@heystarfish100sometimes no contact is the only option. My wife’s parents refused to believe that she was sexually assaulted by her stepbrother for years as a child. My wife finally stood up for herself and cut off her parents and anyone else who agreed with them. Why force a relationship with someone who thinks you are a liar? Her parents don’t deserve her.

@@heystarfish100 You can't put the responsibility to maintain a good family relationship completely on the child. Some people are horrible parents and drive their children away with consistent selfish and inappropriate behavior. You shouldn't have to suffer because the people who gave birth to you are jerks.

If someone told me when I was younger that by the time I turned 54 years old that so many of my loved ones, Family and Friends, would be on the other side, I wouldn’t have believed them. I also don’t know that I would have been happy in general.

Please accept my sympathies for the loss of your family member, Mrs Nutn. Nutn as you were going down the list of deaths in your family it reminded me of how almost all of my friends that I grew up with are gone, all of the friends I hung out with in the AF are gone. So many from my high school class of 585 grads are gone. I'm only 58. None of those were particularly recent losses either so I don't suspect the injected poison of the last few years. Lost my dad back in 2007 to lung cancer as well. We too had rough patches from time to time but I realized in his last few days that all that didn't matter, it was gone as far as I was concerned and I believe it was the same for him. Nice different kind of video. Your point of view is appreciated. 👍

You inspire me to get out and go on my own adventures, run and gun, stay prepared for dark days when they come, and you’ve even helped me in my career with videos like “workers are few” which you posted at the absolute perfect time for me during my sophomore year in college. Then I moved her out of California to Alabama found out she had severe dementia and a laundry list of issues, by then it got so bad I forgave her then less then a year she withered away I didnt even get a chance to say good bye, during then plandemic at the nursing home. In forever closer to my father, found out my mom lied alot about my father and years later I confirmed it not true. So now I'm closer to my dad although hes on home dialysis in wendover, and I learned alot and became born again and it's great and your so right about loving everyone since seeking out the lord, and I too made tons of mistakes.

I looked up to him my whole life. So… it hurt/s.🤷‍♂️ I once picked him up at the airport and the whole ride home he ignored me, like I wasn’t even there. I spent my gas and time to pick him up and he acted like I was an Uber driver, hell most people say “hi” to their Uber driver. He didn’t even do that. 3 hour drive and he just spoke to his daughter (even she didn’t want to spend her gas or drive to the airport so she just hitched a ride with me) and made calls.
