What a beautiful room. As a mom of teens, I can say that the nursery is more for the mom than the baby. I like the fact that you kept it simple and not over the top childish. Charlotte will have years to have her room the way she wants it and right now it needs to be a space where you both feel comfortable and can bond without all the distractions of too many colors and loud overbearing toys and wall hangings.

+Melinda Anne I agree! I love how it is kept classy and beautiful. One thing that puts me off about having kids is how garish everything seems to have to be!

Jen, Women's shelters really appreciate donations of newborn and baby items that Charlotte may have grown out of including nappies and anything you think she won't use :) Sometimes ladies arrive there without anything for themselves or their babies or children. Recently I donated sanitary products I no longer needed (just had a hysterectomy) to my local shelter and they were very grateful for those too :)

It is not easy to vlog with people in mind who just have the need of telling you to think about this and about that........shaking my head. It is your home dear Jen, your Baby, your Nursery and your life..... please don't bother about cranky comments! As you said, this room will grow and change with the needs of CC. I think it is a perfect start, and things will be added or changed with CC growing . I love it it, it is tranquil and shooting and very cozy!

Oh please Anita, stop trying to make trouble, Jen said not to squabble with viewers. She just asked about comments didn't say anything about home, baby, nursery, or her life. Talk about cranky, go lay down for a while. then you cow tow to Jen. So 7th grade. Hope Jen doesn't bother with your comment either.

This room is just beautiful!The foundation of this little girl room with last through the years, it is so nice that everything isn't cartoonish and dated. Such a timeless choice of decor. The both of you have made such a lovely home for your little C.C. I look forward to many more video's, I had my first grandchild a few weeks before C.C. was born, my daughter and her husband asked me to stay the first 5 weeks to lend a hand and help make life a bit easier on them. What a gift it was to bond with my grandson and to see my daughter and her husband shine as new parents, (someone to do laundry and care for the four fur baby grandchildren). I can tell that you and Don are going to be such loving and hands on parents. This mom of two grown girls can see to the future, what a great time the three of you will have together. Great job guys! God Bless all of you.

The room is gorgeous! You will love your Maya wrap especially as she gets a little older. We adopted our daughter from China and even at 1 yr she only weighed 17lbs. The Maya wrap worked so well not only as a wrap but it makes a great blanket in a pinch!

Beautiful nursery. I absolutely love the color choices. We also went with a convertible crib. Love the idea of a room, and furniture, that will grow with my daughter. My daughter just got a toy box for her room from her aunt. It's hard to believe she'll be 2 in June! Time goes by so fast. CC is beautiful and growing strong. Enjoy and cherish every beautiful moment.

Ahhh super adorable!!! Jen, I didn't use the Aden and Anais swaddling sheets for swaddling much with my boys, but I looved them for burping cloth, or a light blanket in the spring, just for anything. My boys are toddlers now and I still use them folded to put on the pillow when they are sick or again as a light cover.

Hi Jen, I am a 53 year old grandma and I absolutely LOVE your videos. Thank you for sharing with us...you are a treasure. I know it's hard when baby doesn't take a pacifier. May I suggest a pacifier that I think baby Charlotte will love, or at least my baby grandson loved it and it brought him so much comfort. It's a Gumdrop pacifier. They are amazing. We use a trash can like the one your using. And we have not had any probs with baby getting into it or any other problems. Love the set up of the nursery. Thanks for sharing.

I love the purple and butterflies. That carpet is do pretty as well. You did a wonderful job as always.

The best advice for my nursery was to use doggie wee wee pads on the changing table it saves on a ton of laundry. The wee wee pads are also great on the go as well for changing tables in restrooms because you can just throw them out afterwards. When someone gave me this tip while I was preggos I was like doggie wee wee pads?!?! But seriously they are life savers and save so much time and energy

What a gorgeous nursery !!!!! I love how the crib becomes a full size bed for when she's older. I checked out the website and it will be a piece that she can use for YEARS!!!! I wish i had gone that route when my kids were babies (they are 21 and 22 now). Charlotte is certainly a very lucky little girl ... and you can tell she is so very loved :-) Again, congrats to you and Don!!
