I’m a DNP and did the BSN to DNP program in Florida, it was 3.5 years. And they asked if I had any idea what I wanted my DNP project to be and few other general questions on why should we pick you, etc.... Loving the videos! Love to see people who look like me doing great and amazing things! It gives me encouragement and I know it encourages the young ones that have yet to establish themselves, so thank you!!

Thanks so much for your videos! You are such an inspiration. I just got accepted into two programs, one is MSN and the other a DNP. I am leaning more towards the DNP one because they will help with clinical placement.I have heard finding clinicals can be challenging.

Where do you apply for the Nurse Faculty Loan Programs? is there a website or is it provided via each certain schools?
In the DNP curriculum, are there writing-intensive courses where they make you write 50+ or 100+ page papers? Ever? I am not the strongest writer and I get very nervous writing (especially when it comes to proper citation) but for the most part, I can execute a pretty good paper. Other than that, this video definitely sparked an interest for the DNP route.

What are the different nursing paths to reach MSN or DNP?
What is the average time it takes for MSN and a DNP, if you already have a BSN?
Hi mam can we do Bsc to dnp directly?
See I find that working as a nurse then going back to school for a higher degree is so much harder bc the things we actually do compared to what they teach sometimes isn’t on the same page lol it seems like it would be easier not knowing the “truth” and going to school learning fresh than it is when ur experienced and know how it works and then go to school and ur taking classes telling you what your supposed to be doing lol but that’s just not realistic
@fromcnatonp

That is true , but for me bc I was stepping into the role of the provider and not the nurse it is a bit different. I felt less overwhelmed with the work load and for some of the things I was being taught I could relate bc I had real pt experience with somethings. Thanks for watching

Hi DNP student here… Use online websites such as grammarly and paraphrasing tool to proofread your papers for proper punctuation and word choice. If necessary, go to your university’s writing lab. With doing these things & following the rubric, I typically make A’s on all my papers.
Do you know for the nurse faculty loan program if you have to teach full time or can you do part time
@fromcnatonp
3 жыл бұрын
Every year you teach they will pay 20% per year she says it depends on where you get the job and it goes by how many hours you work have to be 30 hrs a week.
For those times when just being a nurse isn't enough and you really really want to be called "doctor".....then DNP is the program for you. 🤣😂😅🤣😂
With your msn np you can teach but will it only be at the Bachelors level?
@curious_rose8865

No, with MSN you can only be an assistant faculty member

What are your thoughts on DNPs being addressed as "Dr." or referring to yourself as "Dr."? Is it unethical or do you feel that it is a deserved title?
@alignedwithchrist
3 жыл бұрын
DNPs should be referred to as Dr. if they desire. They have gone through the trenches and worked hard for the title of Doctorate of Nursing Practice holder... i.e. Dr.
@kami3984
3 жыл бұрын
@@alignedwithchrist I completely agree! I've read many forums where M.D.s get offended at the idea of that, and they think DNPs are not deserving of the title. I think if the patient understands you are a DNP and not a MD (as stated on lab coats or name tags) then there shouldn't be a problem.

I'm an incoming freshman majoring in Nursing. I'm interested in getting a DNP after my undergrad. I just have a few questions regarding the admission process. 1. How early should you start applying to get in a DNP Program? 2. Do most or all DNP programs require work experience, or can you go straight into the program after receiving your BSN?
@curious_rose8865

Hi, I’m currently a DNP student.. most universities require 2yrs of nursing experience prior to applying. I think it’s important to obtain the experience to hone your critical thinking skills and having that knowledge will assist you in your classes/preparing for clinicals.

I have been hearing that since I was applying for NP programs in fact the school told me by 2020.
