"No tone countrol" who needs it?! Do it with your finger- best lesson I've learned so far... ☺

Evh has said same thing in fact Nuno is a big Evh fan.
It's hard to believe he was 51 years old here. Somewhere there's a painting of Nuno in an attic getting older.

He looks 51. He just didn't get fat like the majority of people. If you take care of yourself, you can look great at 51.
Bill Lawrence story was great. You, Nuno, have put the man back in business. Kudos to you, man!

To think I met this guy, at a church blood drive back in the early 90's. Chatted with him, got an autograph, and actually walked to our cars together. Beyond humble and just a great person...and let's not forget the shredding!! 🤘🏼
Awesome! One of the most honest and humble musicians on earth.

i wouldn't say he's underrated in the guitar world but when you hear nuno play you realise how overrated some other guitarist are. he's exceptional and a real guitar hero!

@@jeremystone2658 Isn't that awesome? I've been a fan of Nuno for years, and it's great to see him getting some recognition.
Nuno.. I've played every guitar out there the passed 40 yrs. When i played Washburn, then learned they were such a historic American company, I realized that with a bit more tweaking, their guitars are fundamentally awesome. I share the same love as you do for the brand and appreciate your influence. You're so wicked. Thanks for supporting them because between you and Paul Stanley, and a few others, they deserve to have that credibility. Love the frets, fingerboard, & neck feel and the upside down headstock has always been the coolest looking guitar I've ever seen, so its great to have one of the world's most bad ass guitarist bring this guitar to fame and support Washburn. I'm saving my money to get one and cant wait !!!! Nuno Bettencourt is the BOMB.
Nuno is humble. A stratospheric guitar player who doesn't live on hype like many do...
Just hung out with Nuno briefly at the Kitchener Axe generation show in late November. Fantastic show! Have to say he has been one of the best and most underrated guitarists around for years(not to Steve Vai though which speaks in volumes). One of the nicest; down to earth rock stars you will ever meet(aside from Zakk Wylde and Steve Vai). He kindly signed my left handed N4 which is just an amazing, easy guitar to play with absolutely killer tone(thx Bill Lawrence!) Love you Nuno and thx for just being a cool dude. See you next time your in town.
He’s still so perrrtttyyy!!!! Been a fan since forever
Once again... NUNO "NUMERO UNO" BETTENCOURT! To me, this guy is one of the most important guitar player in the whole world! Period. #NunoBettencourt #Extreme #MouringWidows #Population1 #Dramagods #GenerationAxe #Washburn #N4

Nuno is a real inspiration for many of us that have been listening for 30 years or more. Very humble guy with mad skills. hope to see you soon on the road my man
Huge respect for Nuno. One of my most favourite players EVER. And what a guitar - it’s been on the list for a long time

Bought mine back in 1992 from nakkas music store, a 1991 n2 padauk stain completely stock. Plays like a dream, sounds like a beast and is built like nothing else I ever owned. Puts my Gibson and my 2550 prestige to shame. Nothing rusted, nothing moved nothing failed, just the best guitar I ever played
I sooooooo wish I had some musical talent! I love listening to classical guitar, but don’t know the first thing about playing music. I’m glad there are people like Nuno I can listen to and enjoy the music he creates. Thank you 🙏🏻
The most underrated guitar player ever! Love the guitar too! It was awesome meeting you Gary, Pat and Fig!
He never get old
Awesome player. He never ages, amazing.
Nuno is such a rare player! Truly a virtuoso who can play anything, he had a unique style and very creative voice in his solo and rhythm phrasing. One of, if not THE best, players of his generation. Also seems like a genuine, down to earth person in his interviews, which is just stellar in my opinion. 😎👍
I've wanted an N4 for years, they just look amazing! Wish I could get one!

@fistovuzi

@@Rafaelguitarplayer yes, bad move on their part. with something like a neck join in a guitar, standardization is very useful. 4 bolts, done. a non-standard neck joint will put a LOT of *players* off, a "i ain't dealing with that" sort of thing. the N series had the potential to be Washburns "RG". they just needed to do what Ibanez did with the Jem, adopt the design and make it the backbone of your company. they could still have *Nuno's* N guitars like the Jem. a Jem is just a Steve Vai RG. every guitarist with a signature series RG Ibanez has a signature guitar that is a variation on Steve Vai's signature guitar. and i'll go out on a limb here and say the N series is a better guitar, over-all. tho the top horn was moved forward primarily to fit the Steven's cutaway, it changes the center of balance, stabilizing it somewhat. and it, kind of, "locks in" to your body with the comfort cuts. most comfortable guitar to play in the world until recently with Abasi Concepts and the like.
Very cool! Nuno is the reason I started playing in the first place. Epic guitar hero in my life.
I love your music and your performance. Your gig where Nancy Wilson showed up as a surprise guest and played was freaking awesome. Thanks.
It's a great guitar...well done Nuno. Luv the specs...and more importantly, your honesty, coolness, and of course, your music. Keep safe all. Peace.
Amazing musician and person, met him twice and what an honour 👍
He always and I mean always comes off as genuine.
I just bought one 3 days ago. Was used but new condition. Got a great deal. It's my main gigging guitar now.
I'm happy to say that i have one for around 25 years now... i bought it because i was such a fan, but i feel the same way, if i play another guitar i just don't have the same feeling as i have with my N4, i really lucked out, because i bought it without trying it and until this day it is still my favorite ... i don't know there's something mystical about this guitar, to me at least. I love the tone, the neck is perfect... i love the fact that its natural wood tone... every little detail is perfect :)
Almost Almost 3 decades and counting, he still sticks with his trusty N4 wow. It's not the fanviest guitar in the world but it gets the job done
I remember seeing his guitars in magazines back when I first started playing...close to 30 years ago.
I saw him play with the other guys from generation axe in Atalanta and he definitely had the best personality of any of the guys there cracking jokes and calling people out. This guy was great.
I've played N4s and they are amazing guitars, I'd love to own some day
My main, beloved and now lost guitar was ky first elec. Washburn a20v black and red pinstripe. Amazing guitar.
Awesome guitars... I saw an interview with Nuno a few weeks back and he mentioned that there is 2 new Washburn Nuno's being released new year. Hopefully announced at NAMM.
Nuno, um grande musicista, o melhor guitarrista do planeta. Entende tudo de guitarras, essa N4 é linda demais. Nuno é genial e além de tudo isso, é muito gato! Adoro 🤩🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Make one, there are a number of luthiers who can build the design for you and some much cheaper than they are trying to sell for currently. Otherwise, grab a N24 used and upgrade the electronics and tremolo (get a Gotoh-much better than FRO IMO) . It won’t compete with the N4 USA but tone wise it will be close.

Always wanted one of these...a proper one...one day. ☺
I have two of them, the jumbo frets make it really comfortable to play, great for tapping...
The Bill Lawrence L500XL is the best bridge pickup I've ever played on. I had the same experience - once I put one in, I had to have it in most of my guitars. Aside from Lawrence L90's, I play that exclusively in the bridge position.
Ni design change since it first came out, able to play out of the store straight to his hand in concert, still playing it while quitting relationship at Washburn some time ago. got to say, this is the best signature model one can buy.
Great guitars!
Could you maybe play it? Damn, man. I was waiting to hear you play!
I love the fact that he built it to suit his needs. My best guitar is the one i built.
One of my too 3 fav electric guitar players in the world amazing player so funky phrasing and riffing got to see Extreme perform Pornograffiti he was amazing ✌
Great guitar! I have already had a hard-on for these for years after playing them in the early 90's up at House Of Guitars, they even had signed ones and every model. He is so right about the pickup selector.. I love strats but that damn pickup selector, being a big funk guy myself.. I hit that damn thing all the time. I wish Washburn though gave you an option not to have the N4 stickers or put them in the case and let you decide if you want to put them on or not! Kind of like the SRV strat with the normal black pickguard and the New Fender Tom Morella Soul-Power strat comes with the Soul-Power decal so you can put it on yourself if you want to! I love Nuno and met him several times actually one time with my mother haha. He was in a music store and my mom just started talking to him not realizing who he was.. and he was nice and was very friendly with her. I had to rescue him from her... just one of those funny moments I will never forget LOL.
RESPECT
Never liked the weight and balance of the N4, but always loved Nuno. Maybe the most lucid I've seen him in years.
I would love to see him in person showing what he means about "use your fingers". I took the tone knob off a Jackson years ago and don't miss it because it's more a shredder. My strat though, I use ALL the knobs.
Such a cool guy and cool guitar
great guitar. great guitarist.
I have the burgundy N4 and love it. what he doesn't mention is how good the Floyd Rose trem/bridge and machine heads are. Top quality, good balance, once you set it up the way you like it, you'll never put it down..
