Nuna Cudl honest, independent review and demo.

The Nuna Cudl is advertised newborn to toddler, 3.5kg to 16kg, offering 3 carrying positions - inwards, outwards and back carry. Realistically, however, it might not last you anywhere near as long. It's massive, it's bulky, it's not easy to get a great fit with, and realistically most babies won't fit it until around more like 6-8 weeks and then they'll likely grow out of it by a year.
It does offer all those positions but switching between them is a faff and harder than when you compare to other carriers that retail for a similar price.
The Tula Explore, the Ergobaby Omni Breeze and the Beco Gemini are all more flexible than this carrier, all fit a wider range of parents shapes and sizes, are more comfortable, fit babies for longer, and are easier to switch between positions as baby grows and matures. Combined with the fact the manual is really confusing and makes some really quite dodgy recommendations at some points. I really can't see myself ever recommending anyone purchase this carrier.
If you are researching and like the idea of it - I heartily recommend looking at the Tula, Omni or Gemini instead. Links to my reviews below and I rent and retail them too ... meaning you can try before you buy. And don't forget I offer free fit checks with every carrier purchased through me! So you can be sure help is on hand if you need it.

Or if your desperate for an internal harness carrier then the Baby Bjorn Harmony is alot better than the Nuna Cudl (and there is a review on this channel!).
If you have one of these already and need help getting it as comfortable as possible please get in touch and I'll be happy to help

people could do the toggle up for forward facing prior to putting baby in it.

Yes! You would need to. But its nice if you can swap between inward and outward without putting baby down... because if you are out and about and baby needs to change position but you don't have anywhere to put baby or anyone with you to hold them....

Could you have the legs inside with the newborn insert zipped if they couldn’t get legs wide enough apart maybe??

Maybe! Although legs in isn't ever my first port of call as you need to check no pressure on tiny ankles and avoid the marching reflex. But I guess in theory that could be an option if you really needed to use this carrier with a newborn

So helpful! The airflow seems concerning in newborn phase. Do you know of any other structured carriers that you can put on and mostly adjust first before adding baby?

Yes, I do and I've reviewed several on this channel. The only one I feel supports newborns well and lasts a good length of time too is the Baby Bjorn Harmony. However, i find that when clients come and see me and ask for carriers you can put on first and then adjust this request usually comes from a place of low confidence and anxiety. 99 times out of 100 giving them space to learn, build confidence and practice they find carriers that you put on around you and baby ... things like the Ergobaby Omni or Tula Explore are really simple and far more comfortable and flexible. So most end up not buying a carrier with an internal harness after all. Another simple one to investigate is the Carifit. Really hope that helps answer your question.

And I should mention i do offer online consultations if you ever want to build confidence with whatever you choose or would like to discuss options and how they'd suit you personally in more depth 😉

I honestly can't answer as to if it will be more or less comfortable for you as this will depend on individual body geometry and not just height
