I would recommend a road case if you don't already have one. Typically these problems occur when storing and transporting your controller or neglecting to clean your controller after each gig. Clubs are dirty and typically you don't see the filth until you take your rig apart and get to scrubbing. We have great deals on road cases built specifically for the S4 on the UniqueSquared website.
It does not have a dedicated button but you can map a control to do this within Traktor or engage it with your computer.
Cool! I have the NS6; nice demo of the 4trak.
Yes it does and a switch for line and phono.
Hey. Very nice review and description. But I have a question: On s4 i can connect two vinyl turntables, and have them be added into the software to use timecodes. So like, deck A and B are internal - controler - and C and D are external - turntables. Can I do the same with this thing?
for turntables in order to play real vinyl, then yes this is the one you want. no analog turntable input on the s4 as far as i know.
hey i like it , does it work with serato sl3??
Would you buy this or the S4 as a beginner dj? I'd like to be able to connect turntables as well to learn on.
The 4TRAK does not have the ability to support timecode vinyl. If you want to get more information then check out the Live Chat feature on the UniqueSquared website.
Its a pretty sturdy, heavy construction that feels like it can take some abuse. What kinds of problems are you having with your S4?
ok thank you i just saw that pioneer does controller that is serato compatible
I do own a Traktor A6. Does the Controller have the needed inputs for line-level, or not?
Puzzling. This is the first I am hearing of 5 separate units having the exact same problem with any pro audio gear. I am scratching my head on this one as I am sure you are too. Have you contacted Native Instruments about your hardware issues? If you have not, I would recommend it as their forums and service center are top notch.
NI's hardware is very solid and we almost never see factory defects like you are describing. Perhaps something happened during shipping. I would recommend ordering your gear from UniqueSquared. We take great care in how our packages are shipped and we have killer deals on NI hardware. Check out the website for more information.
should i get this or ns6?
It does not, scratch live is proprietary to SL boxes and TTM57, or 61, 62.68 mixers. It can most likely be mapped to Serato Intro.
what's the computer stand??? :-O i need one just like that, can't find any...
does it have loop recorder NO?
the main question i have is does it support timecode? If not.. why?!
Numark 4TRAK or Pioneer-t1?
for all of you people wondering what makes this different from an s4, the platters/jog wheels are much more precise and sensitive(almost like scratching vinyl apparently). Numark claims that theyre the best platters on the planet, so i would say that the 4trak is a much better controller if youre looking for something to scratch with also this thing is much better spaced than the s4 but over all i cant see a reason to buy this thing IF youve already got an s4.
Its the Roland SS-PC1.
4trak..no doubt about it
cool but why would you get this if you already have an s4
The 4TRAK does not have the ability to support timecode vinyl. You will have to purchase a Traktor soundcard to do this.
$1099 street price for now.
wat is d PRICE?
3:41 LOL!! xDDD
We want serato.
you can say that again =)
i think its such a smack to the face for NS6 users tbh
Oh well, at least they're knowledgeable hobos =D
it doesn't look like a childs toy.
