Very strange review indeed :) Compare the time of 290 Giga and 290 Mega, compare air time, cornering and all like that but compare apple to apple. And find why is the reason. Is it Giga linkage kinematic or maybe just Fox dumper is better and that is why so compare Mega and Giga both 29 and both with full Fox and so on. That would be great review.

I sold my 2021 v4 mega 290 and it was an awesome bike, then bought a sunn kern en 29 and the sunn is far superior. Formula suspension and brakes, x01 AXS, full carbon frame, carbon wheels. So good. Also set it up as a mullet. It's fast and down to business but has so much pop and playfulness and begs you to pump into everything. But that doesn't defy how you ride it, you can ride it all out or lazy no problem. Big hits are no problem and the thing corners so well. Out performs the mega in all aspects

A theoretically interesting comparison between two excellent enduro bikes. However I do have one glaring issue with the points raised; most of this comparison seemed to be more between the different build kits (Giga's Factory Fox/Shimano build is apparently superior) and different wheel sizes (how much of the Mega's extra speed, and the Giga's extra playfulness was purely down to wheel size?). The reason I take issue here is because while the Giga isn't available in the Mega's RS build, the Mega is available in the apparently superior (and conveniently cheaper) Factory build, so any advantages to the Giga for better brakes, dropper post and rear shock can also apply to the Mega. Likewise both models are available in both 27.5in and 29in, in all sizes, so any advantages based on wheel size are a wash between both bikes. A proper comparison, purely to decide which model is superior for you would have worked much better if the variables of wheel size and build kits were kept the same (i.e. between a Giga 290 Factory and Mega 290 Factory), leaving the comparion to be between the actual model variables, namely four-bar vs single-pivot suspension platforms and 160/170mm vs 170/180mm travel (on the 290; the Giga 275 gets 180/180mm).

Just wait when the Shimano brakes start to leak oil out of the cylinders. Happens in one or two seasons depending on how much and where you ride. They have no dirt ingress protection what so ever, and dirt scratches the walls until they leak. You have to replace the entire lever as they do not sell spares.
