I took a smal dose of shroom and when I felt it I was listening to this. that ending put me in a trance and I’ve heard this song countless times but it never fails me.

Heard this for the first time when i went to Japan in 2007 on a language study program. My friend from CA, who i met in the same group, introduced me to Nujabes. I was already into Dj Krush, Dj Shadow and J Dilla and this fits so well in their ranks

Us CA guys are usually pretty up to date on our music. Nujabes biggest influence is jazz, most of the songs you like from him are directly sampled from famous jazz songs from back in the day. CA has a HUGE jazz music culture so when champloo first dropped in 2005 (in the states) we knew exactly what he was doing and we loved it.
