    I liked watching this because nucanoe is making the design better and Blake knows exactly what he is talking about. The parts look really well built and the design has been refined and is adjustable and functional. Good job.

    Great video Chad I'm planning on setting up my F12 with the Pivot Drive hopefully next season. I like to paddle, but for tournaments all the Hobies get way out ahead of time and I don't often get the time to prefish like they do. So I really feel it would give me a little help. This thing is amazing and Blake and Nucanoes R&D team have really knocked it out of the park. You and Kristie have a Great Thanksgiving. God bless and keep casting my friend.

    How do you remove weeds on prop if it is located at the back of the boat. Can you crawl back there and pull them off with the prop pulled up or does lifting the prop remove most weeds? Thanks.

    good stuff Chad, I like the concept. lets say you hit a stump and the drive disconnects...how easily will it reconnect in the water? also would there be a way to run the cables on the inside of a kayak instead of having the entire cable drive system available for stray hooks to catch? good to see some videos popping up from you again! keep em coming and I hope you and your family are doing well!

    Thanks so much for posting this! Great information. I'm considering getting a kayak for the first time and am favoring a Nucanoe Frontier. I like having this as an option. However, I will be cartopping this, which brings up 2 things: does the rudder control sticking up like that hinder the cartopping (as far as I can tell, the kayak should be loaded upside down) and does the mount on the back block the hole used for the trolley wheels? Also, the options available for a Nucanoe for propulsion are one of the things that attract me to this kayak. However, once I get a pivot drive, is that all that can mount on the back? that plate looks different to me than the other transom mounts - am I locked in to the pivot drive (without unscrewing the mounts) once it's installed?

    i think the most asked question should be how long will it last? belts on cars wear out all the time, so what about when the belts on this drive system go? can you easily replace them yourself? or are you having to buy a whole new system? and what about grass or lily pads? won't they probably stick in the prop and belts? other than that, ive looked at A LOT of kayaks offering a pedal drive system, so far vibe has been my favorite but they don't have a reversible drive, then i saw the nucanoe design and loved it. just wonder how long the drives will hold up.

  • @abuvall
    @abuvall3 жыл бұрын

    Looks like it has a lot of moving parts to break and need replacing when in the outdoors... love the design of the nucanoe... but it’s probably better off being paddled or trolling motored... can’t beat the Native pedal drive. Simple and solid.

    Good video, the kick up feature is nice. One worry with most props is backing into a stump below the water line. Has Nucanoe tested for this? How difficult is it to replace a propeller? Will props be inexpensive (spare)

    Test of time?? I'd like to see the test of salt water with 6 months of use in that open frame design of the pedal drive mount. While it's a rubber belt drive, salt will build up everywhere within the internals. Should be closed design to give it some protection from the elements, not too mention, accidental mishaps during storage or transport.
