Prachtig. Chapeau!

16 oktober 2021 Concertgebouw. An unforgettable afternoon. A world class performance. The concert lingers on. I feel grateful that I was there. Thank you Collin Currie Group and Synergy Vocals for an everlasting emotional and uplifting experience. Thank you Steve Reich for your music that has been traveling with me fo so many years and never fails to move and energize. The pulse of life captured in truly unique music.

A wonderful performance of music that is very difficult to pull off. These are two of Steve's best works. Just make sure you take your bathroom break before they get started.

Stellar performance of a soul stirring piece of music for 18 musicians. To experience this live is mind boggling

Soul leaving one’s body. Floating into eternity. That’s how it feels for me. I’ve had the privilege of watching this once live at the Sydney opera house. I melted.

SUPERB performance of works by the Maestro of minimalist music. Whilst at York (UK) University I was lucky to perform Clapping Music and Music for Large Ensemble, and be involved in Octet, a fellow student moving mountains to perform the piano part that plays against itself. Seeing this concert live brought back wonderful memories of being "inside" Reich's music. (A shame the camera director does not seem to know how to listen to Reich - so many opportunities missed in 18 Musicians...)

I'm with you : 18 Is so warm and intimate but atmospheric nonetheless .An act of love (and l saw SR and Musicians playing it here in Italy , so l can tell).

Dank u wel NTR ZaterdagMatinee, the Tehillim was stunning!

So glad I was in the audience to witness this extraordinary feat

I bought the original recording of Music for 18 Musicians (on the ECM label) about 45 years ago. I’ve listened to it hundreds and hundreds of times. I’m delighted there are so many different versions of it out there now. This one is very good!

Great concert, thank you. But such a shame that the film editor seems to neither listen to, nor understand, the music - and, sadly, so often this is the case.

Magical. Reich is able to perfectly encapsulate Jewish spirit.

Excellent performance of Tehellim! It always makes me wheep and pray, as if I where at the wall. Even the Zionists could not spoil this one for me. (corrupting most of Jewish culture) Tehillim reveals judaism for me, in the best possible way. But in the Mix the rhythm section should have been emphasised more: Tehillim really needs that drive.. Music for 18 musicuans is also amazingly well performed! These musicians know, what they are doing.. But again the Mix has flaws. But Reich may be hard to mix well.. Only 2834 views?? What a waste! Musicians, NPO, and all others: Thanks!!

I'm sure these musicians are very talented but, I found that after about five minutes this concert became very annoying. I don't know what kind of music you call this. I know you are trying to come up with something different and you did. Just not the kind of music l find very enjoyable to listen to.

You can't argue about taste. Steve Reich and Max Richter are two contemporary composers that lift classical music, in the spirit of Philip Glass, into the 21st century. Try it again when you are relaxed!!!

My mum couldn't bear listening to Steve Reich - it upset her. I have listened to Music for 18 Musicians more than a thousand times and it never fails to move and inspire me deeply.
