it can be very, very frustrating. I still haven't figured out what to do in those situations (that doesn't just lead to masking or "stirring the pot.")

I hate that my masking is only good enough to get me into the uncanny valley, where people don’t realize I’m autistic and instead I just give off an unsettling aura. 🤦‍♀️

That shelf looks like a pikachu shrine lol. I hate the "special ability" stereotype. Savant syndrome isn't exclusive to autism, and it may not be a useful or interesting skill.

This video reminds me of the bind I’m in lol which is job interviewing. Legitimately makes me want to violently vomit and defecate everywhere. LOL It’s full of social nuances and just empty performing to “get” the job. You have to “prove” yourself. I also understand job interviews are frustrating for EVERYONE - NT included - but for me, it’s a step above frustration, because while I am a good coder, I’m just not very great socially. I would write out scripts to help myself but then it was pointed out to me by some interviewers that it appeared as though I was reading something. Discouraging and maddening lol 🫠🤣 Anyways, Good video. The locs are looking lovely as per usual! ✨

I have not laughed that suddenly in a long time. I am living for this comment. This comment is the way every comment should be. It encompasses what autism truly is.
