Another good win, Panthers. Fit, fast and strong all night, especially their second-half defence. Parra were brave and had alot of misfortune and calls go against them. But Panthers are the 3-time champs for a reason and I couldn't see this team going 0-2 to start a season. Bring on Broncs GF rematch next week.

Eels got a lot to look forward to this year. Unlucky with the injuries that exposed their left edge. Panthers back to being second half specialists. They'll be hard to beat when they get rid of the rust. The next few weeks will show whether they are a genuine shot at a 4-Peat.

As an eels fan there could’ve been so many times we could’ve won this game but didn’t capitalise but only complaint is when Penrith scored of the Isaiah yoe kick why wasn’t play stopped for Tualangi and they scored right where he would be? But other then that hats off for panthers great game

Growing up in W Syd, I love both teams but I support Parra, that defense is never winning a premiership. As for Panthers, they have so much talent but first 2 games of the season not looking great. COME ON WESTERN SYDNEY STEP UP. Panthers have the strongest halves and forwards in the comp, keep up the motivation make it a 4 or 5 peat.

Far out Penrith doesnt look like they are slowing down anytime soon... I'm calling it already they will be in the GF this year for the 5th time in a row.

Can only comment on the highlights but it was very hard and tough out there and both Penrith and Parramatta will be banking on getting much easier games with a lot less intensity. Vintage stuff from Penrith with the brilliant kicks by Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo resulting in a Try each, but Parramatta was effectively a man short for Yeo’s brilliant kick as Parramatta’s Tualangi was down injured. Like Canterbury last week against Parramatta, I felt that Penrith were weak against The Parramatta Forwards close to their Try-Line. In reply Penrith Big Man, Moses Leotta, was outstanding, as I see it all of The Rugby League Teams are struggling against really big men with Pace, Strength, Determination, and Ball Skills, you could say the same for Penrith against Parramatta’s Shaun Lane, Lane just walked through them. Parramatta’s Mitchell Moses was very courageous just to be out there, he is only a shadow of his usual self. Just hope he hasn’t got Athletic Pubalgia.

Parramatta have complained about Isaah Yeo being downtown when Cleary kicked to score a try. Yeo played the ball that is not downtown. All he did in the end was run out of the way to avoid being in the way. You lost get over it.

Its a coping mechanism in try to squeeze a positive out from an awful performance. Two Luai errors led to two Parra trys. If Parra think they did well in a close game, it was by the scoreline alone.

Not an eels fan but Harper is terrible, drop that bloke back to reserve grade. Can’t defend to save his life and was walking around half the game
