How would you include your hobbies/interests outside of teaching that would look exciting to a school such as playing an instrument, health and fitness etc. and still make it relevant? (Hope that makes sense)

Hi, i have applied for a primary pgce 2021. I know that they dont do the maths professional skills test anymore as they were a requirement before. On this course, how are they assessing your maths? Its not my strongest point so I am quite nervous about what they have put in place to assess maths. Thank you

Hey! So you have to do a English and a Maths audit in order to get a place on the course at UCL. We have lectures on them & then a few audits throughout the year to ensure we are working on our subject knowledge. If you don’t do very well in these audits they have support sessions to help you. Honestly they aren’t as bad as you will be thinking!! I went over a six maths skills and have consistently done well. My advice about it is so not stress!!
