Hello Ninja Trader on the properties page there is a setting for "Bar Position Over EMA" That setting is not on the video. Please let me know how you recommend that to be set. Thanks

I noticed that some of your trades would stop out if you move your stop loss to each new printed bar (example 4:40)? At 4:40, you would have lost that trade if you moved the bar. Is this something you're regularly doing, or do you like to keep the Stop at the bottom of your signal bar? Or are you only moving it if the bar moves a long ways?

are you closing these trades fully at the half ATR typically, or take profit and set stop to entry? could you explain your take profit strategy with this trade strategy? and is there any indicator for this on trading view?

Great video Zeff. Can you explain 1/2 an ATR. If the ATR is 14, does that mean 1/2 ATR is 7 pts or 7 ticks? Can't quite figure out how to properly read that

Based on the custom settings I see when I import this, do you prefer Partial Body, Full Body or Full Bar for the Bar Position Over EMA parameter?

This isn't working for me - seems like since NT already has indicators named 'ATR' and 'EMA' in their indicator catalog, I can't compile the ones you've provided in your .zip.

Do you have your stop order loaded and ready to go? Some of those entries would come really quick after the signal bar closes.

Yes you can do stop order or a limit order.

Seeing huge amount of entries on London open but ATR is super low

In my backtesting the averge win is almost half the size of the average loss. Why target only 1/2 ATR? You have to have a huge winning % for this to work

You trail stop the loss under each new bar that prints in the direction of the trend.

Hi Zeff, are you still taking the entry if the next candle never comes back within the alerted candle? I mean that would basically reuqire to join the bid/ask or market in which is why i am wondering.

Ema period is 9 or 10 ema. Atr period probably needs to be above 2 for ES and 10 or 15 for NQ.

There's a major flaw in the arrows indicator. In real time it prints dozens of arrows during the day, when the chart is static and refreshed a large amount of arrows disappear. There is no way to correctly back test with this error.

I wrote an EA in Mt5, tried optimizing, but this strategy is a longterm loosing strategy. I dont know you you came up with 85% winrate? How many months/years have you backtested?

I have NT8. How do you set your profit target to half of the ATR and trail the stop?

Check into ATM Nt8 Strategy set up on youtube lot of tutorials.

When manually back-testing, I found that the winners were roughly half the size of the losers. (I was trading just one contract, so no trailing stop was involved). Your Tested Strategy Results: Wins: 342 Losses: 60 If we divide the Wins number in half, we get 171. Adjusted Test Results: Wins: 171 Losses: 60 This would still be fantastic results. Do you agree with my calculations?

Full performance results. Update: Backtested January and February, excluding holidays. Trade session was made between 0630-0900 PST with a maximum of 2 losses per day. 1 ES contract per trade, set target profit is 2 points and stoploss is 1 tick above/below the signal bar. I didn't factor in the commissions since it varies by broker. The setups were also tweaked a little bit. It's easy to look for the setups in hindsight, therefore take this stats with a grain of salt and results will be different on live sessions. January 3-31 Total trades: 105 Total days: 20 Avg trade per day: 5.25 Profit factor: 3.41 W/R: 82% Winners: 86 Losers: 19 Avg win: $100 Avg loss: -$132.89 Gross profit: $8600 Gross loss: -$2525 Net Profit: $6075 February 3-25 (somehow my chart doesnt show Feb. 1st and 2nd) Total trades: 96 Total days: 16 Avg trade per day: 6 Profit factor: 6.36 W/R: 88% Winners: 85 Losers: 11 Avg win: $100 Avg loss: -$121.59 Gross profit: $8500 Gross loss: -$1337.5 Net Profit: $7162.5 January & February Total trades: 201 Total days: 36 Avg trade per day: 5.6 Profit factor: 4.43 W/R: 85% Winners: 171 Losers: 30 Avg win: $100 Avg loss: -$128.75 Gross profit: $17100 Gross loss: -$3862.5 Net Profit: $13237.5

can you or someone explain how you take your profits? i understand the stop loss obviously, but half of the ATR would set a lot of trades at really bad Risk/reward ratio trades. do we not care about risk/reward with this strategy or am i missing something here? really hope for some clarification thanks ^_^

Must import into ninjatrader. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import> NinjaScript... to open the "Import" dialog window. Select the file you want to import. Press the "Import" button.

3:58 What's amazing about that trade? You would have gotten stopped out with a (small) loss on the 3rd candle after the entry.

You would hit your half ATR take profit there, before you get stopped out. Because of the size of the big green bar as well as the long wick on the red candle, you will absolutely hit half ATR TP. Because previous candles give you an idea of how big is the half ATR at that time.

2nd trade wouldnt have worked if you trailed your stop behind each new bar as QTE suggests. small loser but still not a winner
