Very excellent video. Just been accepted by the NYU AGACNP program. So difficult for an international student who has never studied in the US.

This is so helpful. I am in my second semester and I’m just realizing some of these things about studying. This just solidified that I’m on the right track. Your tips about incorporating, studying for boards early and being immersed in clinical study was most helpful to me. Thank you!

A lot. But my program was accelerated and on blocks. During the first 6-10wk block all I did was class 5d a week 6-8h days so what worked for me was getting up super early am before class when my kids were asleep. During the block I would estimate 4-8h a day. The next block was just for clinicals and I went down to prn so I would schedule my committed 6 shifts during that 6-8wk block with clinicals. I still studied then but it was less and focused on clinicals topics and board review. This allowed me to graduate in 18m bc I figured I would prefer 1&1/2 yrs of hell than 3yrs of slow burn. But if you have other obligations like kids/family you will have to cut out some work hours to sustain this type of schedule.
