Everything about this dance is still priceless. The look on the judges faces. The laughs are legit because this was truly difficult to comprehend at the time.

That male judge seemed so natural and honest, it was so cool to see a judge like him, so nice and genuine.

I remember watching this audition on TV. It was so insane to watch this guy perform. He didn't go very far in the overall competition but his animations were so sick in that day and age.

He's phenomenal, I remember seeing this audition back then. Plus he was comedic and had so much poise, it's definitely not easy. Cool twist on popping, definitely inspiring!!

The great Robert Muraine. 34 now in 2022, and of course, still dancing.

Easily one of the best dancers i've seen. Definetly legendary.

For the people who are saying this isn't dancing, look a the definition. dancing: move rhythmically to music, typically following a set sequence of steps. "their cheeks were pressed together as they danced"

What I loved about this is its entertaining and comedic. There aren't a lot of dancers who can make you laugh just with them moving their body to music. He's a legend for sure.

So many dancers have taken his moves and used them in many years after this audition. Amazing skills, and i love coming back to watch these moves 👌

You guys are forgetting that this was in 2009.... Back then that was so sick because nobody danced like that before, now everyone can do that and way more but you got to respect the old dancers cuz they the ones who started it

Oh the memories...seriously, one of the best auditions of all time! Wish he didn't give up on himself in Vegas, or wish he came back a season or two later after training other styles.

Though some might not want to admit it, I believe this to be the modern mime. Art is art. This is wonderful. Simply brilliant.

It may not seen as impressive now but back in 2009 when this was made , these were fresh and new moves. Now many of these moves were overused, everybody does them. RESPECT to the pioneers.

At 5:27, I like how he reached to hug Nigel first instead of the ticket. Connecting with Nigel was more important than getting the ticket.

After 12 years i watch again and again. And I'm thrilled! The best dance over 15 years!!!!

He has amazing isolation skills. Keeping a certain part of his body still while the rest does something else. It takes a lot of practice.

To all those who say that's not dancing: Dancing is Art - and this guy is a brilliant artist.

TIMELESS i will watch this dance in 20 years time,and still be just as impressed!!!!!

I watched it in my school days and I was like 😱..and now it's 2022 still my reaction is the same..this dude is just next level and more deserved..

Joyful Amoeba Not necessarily. Greenteck is the best popper in the world right now and he only has a few thousand subs. Robert has the SYTYCD exposure, but bboy is just a thing of the eighties ,as far as mainstream culture is concerned. The thing about poppers is that they are more about the battle, and the prize money that pays the rent. It's a way of life, more than just a form of art. This is what Robert is about. That's why I love popping and not modern fluff dance.

OMG I LOVE THIS GUY! I only hate they constantly film the judges because, WE DON'T GIVE A F WHAT THEY'RE DOING. He is sooo frigging interesting.

This was old youtube days, where back then, he was considered the best dancer ever, or could've been. Nowadays though, there's now tons of great epic dancers in videos on KZread, so now alot of us have gotten accustomed to seeing stuff like this on epic levels.

Finally found it again. Been looking for this for years.

What I just HATE is having a dance act on, you know, something where you have to watch the performer, but the director thinks it is more entertaining to watch the judges. If that is the skill that is required, I want to be a TV director.

This would’ve been more appreciated with some other judges I know who these people are and the show but he paygrades way above them but ultimately we knew he was just on the wrong kind of dancing show 😅😅😅 they don’t know half of what this man was really out there doing 🔥🔥🔥

How can I ever forget this epic popping routine? Of course, this is from Season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance (don't get me wrong - I love all of the judges, but on a personal note, I think they should've enlisted an additional judge who specializes in popping).
