running rich and fuel mixture are two seperate things. Running Rich means a heavy fuel to air mixture. Fixed with jetting the carburator. Using a fuel mixture of 20:1 vs 32:1 will make it smoke more, foul more plugs if run at low RPMs, but not necessarily run very differently when ridden properly.

You just got an awesome bike at a great price dude. I basically have the 4 stroke 250 copy of this, black plastics with rockstar graphics and black rims. Adjust the idle up and unless it's spitting oil out the exhaust bad the fuel mixture should be fine for now. I'd use a twenty to one ratio next refill on the tank because that's what I used to run on my yamaha blaster.

Leak down test required to figure out what is going on. That 125 should pull that front tire much easier. If that CR is running as it should, you’ll get waxed, fix your bike it will give the CR fits. Be careful and make sure you don’t have an air leak, reason for leak down test, as she will lean out and you will seize her right up. Nice bike. Good luck!

anonMS dawg agree, but with the idle what I was talking about is I have a rm250 milled head, reeds etc. and with it tuned perfect I have hardly any idle time, mostly just when it’s cold with choke on but once it’s warmed up it doesn’t like to idle to much.. but bike in video does need jetting and mixed ratio changed

I had the 99 rm 250 and id lay my money on it that shes suffering from bad seal in between the transmission and the crankcase which allows clutch saver to come over into the combustion area of the motor and it fouls the plug constantly. I pit all kinds of money into these RMs and ive never gotten anything except bad luck. And i buy very nice bikes but for some reason everyone ive owned has had the same issue. But if you get it out on the road and clean it out and let it clear its throat they were all hard hitters, but im a honda guy who buys everything that i can fix to make a few bux on. Thats your issue though if you still have it and its still giving you problems check that out and fix it and you will be a happy guy. Good luck

Hmm...sounds like bad crank bearings (whirring noise), and worn out top end (rattling noise, piston slap). Easy fix if you catch it before it breaks. Then re-jet it properly and clean the carb. That bike is cool, worth way more than $750!! I wish I could find a deal like that

They're just called piston rings on a two stroke. Oil rings are the rings on a 4 stroke piston that keep the oil from getting past the compression rings and into the combustion chamber. A two stroke does not have oil rings since it does not have an oil sump. A two stroke engine has either one or two flat rings on the piston(s).
