What I really like about this game is that you get tutorials all the way into late game. You just feel like there is always something new, even if its just a small mechanic. Then there's other things that aren't explained at all, and you won't find those things even after 300 hours. I'm really hyped for WILDS. They gave us a first glimpse of an open world with the guiding lands and I hope we get something similar, larger for the next title. I love how the Rajang fight matured him quite a bit. This was how GS users should feel when they fight monsters. When I first started in MHFU, the GS taught me patience, especially during the Kirin fight. A vet reminded me to treat the game like a RPG. Certain weapons have a long combo/ windup turnover where you are rooted/ exposed, but secure a substantial risk premium. I usually place greater trust a GS user over LS or DBs, because they need a clear understanding of the monsters move sets, positioning and time between moves where the monster is vulnerable, to get to where they are. This was before health boosters, potion replenishing and all the jazzy quality of life enhancements.

When it comes to Armor the Skills/Gems are what's important, the defense and element stats are mostly irrelevant for end game armors. Builds tend to focus on what skills they can stack and which armors can provide that. Some times it's due to efficiency in slots like having more Size 4 slots lets you use more gems that give +2 in a skill. Sometimes you just don't have the gems though so having it come on the armor helps. Like with the Charms at times you take one charm over another because it's easier to get the skills on the charm than from armor and gem slots. Like the charms that give +5 in a skill. Divine Blessing charm only goes to 3 and there is armors that unlock it's max to 5. So it's better to get Divine Blessing from gems or armor and use charm for either unique skill only found on charm or one that gives +5 in a skill. Since there are different size gems you gotta look at the gem slots that the armor unlocks. If you want looks just get layered version of the armor so you can pick your fashion while keeping the same abilities.

Great to see Asmon still playing past story mode and doing some grinding/farming to better his stuff. 6:04 He should create a loadout for Frostcraft as most of the upcoming monsters are very hyperactive and won't let you sit there charging up a TCS. Admittedly, it may not be the most fun, glamorous build but it's highly effective for Kirin and others.

If the monster isnt in rage mode I think you need to use the feature that lets you smash the monsters head against the wall using some slinger ammos more often. Its useful against monsters that move a lot. You can also smash monsters heads against each other and they would immediately fall down and give you some time to do some charge attacks and if a monster flies a lot or jumps a lot if u time it right they can also fall down using flash pods so you can get more free hits.

Beating rajang first try is insane. It took me at least 3 or 4 attempts lmao. Tho tbh, he isnt retarded like me. His build is extremely tanky, he got saved by his health boosts and divine blessing so many times, and his armour is max leveled. His playstyle is also very hit and run, which is great for GS obviously, and allows him to beat new hard bosses he meets by playing safe, and dealing damage bit by bit. When I got to rajang for the first time, my build was a mess and not focused on tanking at all, and my playstyle was all about pressuring monsters constantly with my charge blade. But rajang has very few openings, and basically one shots you if you don't have the optimal build, so yeah, I got fucked a lot. Ngl, watching this guy made me return to the game, and rethink my strategies. Yesterday I beat furious rajang for the first time with a build not very different from his, and I was stuck on that guy for so long man.

Its normal for people to struggle against rajang. You can barely hit it because it keeps moving and its not easy to fit ideal combos, often have to settle for draw attack and a bit more hits. People really rely on wall bangs, forced knock downs to efficiently hurt it. Or they keep chipping until a good flinch comes. Esp if its move rng makes it start running and jumping everywhere like a madman. If theres a hunt type where wall bang would be most meaningful, its steroid monsters like Rajang and enhanced versions of it.

Actually it doesn't control them Zinogre and it's subspecies are a natural predator of the species that prey on fulgur and dracobugs. Thus the bugs flee en masse to a zinogre to protect themselves while amping the zinogre's elemental abilities for its own hunts. Symbiosis of this kind is rather common in nature irl, one example being the relationship between a clownfish and a sea anemone.

There is spreading the attacks across 4 people so one person isn't being focused down you can have people bring different resources to bear simultaneously cover each other in a variety of ways ect. Its quite different than just a matter of more hp take longer many fights are trivialized by having multiple competent people working in tandem The original point i was making is being able to beat fatalis isn't some 1% type of feat as it scales appropriately. This is why it's good to have at least two weapon types that you're really good at, the Kirin has always been notorious for it's unrelenting speed, not just in the way it moves either, it has a very small vulnerability window and can launch it's lighting in any direction. Also the speed in which the ground begins to illuminate then strikes with lighting is very very fast, maybe only a second to move when it starts. Because of this it makes it extremely difficult to solo this mob with slower weapons like the hammer or great sword. It's not that it's impossible, just much much more difficult. Something like the longsword or insect glave works a lot nicer, being able to pull off quick combos and also cancel and dodge quickly in the middle of your attacks are huge when it comes to taking this guy out.

Agree on Asmon about the stun, hit combo that kills you alot when the monsters output are this high, its dumb you can smack them for 800 and they're un-phased moving into the next attack but then you'll get hit for 1/3 damage, it stuns you so the next hit comes in and knocks you down another 1/3, then because you need to run away and heal they'll come up behind you and finish you off so you're only option would be to stand there and heal...where it also kills you. Some of the games mechanics do feel unfairly weighted towards repeatedly sticking you in stun/hit loops to force a death.
