Love that university campus FC! The hand-placed bushes are a literal pain I know but the slight randomness to the placement makes it look more real than less.

Here's a little idea you should do as you grow and grow your city build separate subpower stations in different locations and using high-powered lines to distribute the power evenly for long distance and then use the shorter power lines along the roads to make it look realistic and interesting

New Orleans has Tulane University. Few Orleans should have Fewlane University!

wrt names for this new town, the main university i know from New Orleans is Tulane University, and it's main building also has a old looking architechtural style like the CS2 asset, so maybe Fewlane University?

I think the two roads that separate the campus and the start of the suburb are yelling out to become a couplet network, perhaps in the future. I think especially if you plan to come back and densify or begin joining the areas more as they grow!

Absolutely love the campus and the little town around it, it's so picturesque, really captures that "I want to live there" feeling that great builds inspire

I definitely agree the view to the university is better without any buildings in front! Shame it takes 3000 years to hedge detail 😂

All I want for Christmas is some detailing props in CS2 lol. I watched some of Infrastructurist’s videos the other day, he was using a mod that unlocked a ton of props. He build a construction sight with fencing, lumber piles, and bulldozer that actually had an animation to it. This is all stuff that’s IN THE GAME, just locked behind developer mode or something. Like seriously, what are they thinking??? Give us the props already. Why do props seem like this forbidden fruit in CS2???

I felt that "1000 years later" spiritually lol. the bushes look SO NICE when finished but boy are they a pain in the you know what haha.

Another building I like to use with my University is the HS. With or without the additional building space, but you can add the sports field addition for a nice dual use. Since by the time you put out the uni you would have already done the HS (and 6-8 elementary), so it's not needed, but then you won't have to put another one down until you hit like 500k population, and 45 elementary schools later, lol. I think it's a joke with the elementary. I have 90k pop in my biggest city and am on my 11th elementary (all full), 2 HS (1/3 full ea), 2 college (half full), a university (1/4 full), a med uni with finally over 100 sims, and a tech uni with 6 sims... but it's looking nice.

Great episode, was very impressed with the campus design and great use of the assets. I think I would’ve personally left some room for expansion down the road as (at least in America) large universities are always expanding and building new facilities constantly (at least was my experience when I lived near Penn State University). As for the name, something related to Tulane as that is the major university in real life New Orleans; I’ve seen mention Fewlane so seems like everyone is on board. As for the town name, real life Tulane is in a neighborhood called Carrollton. Or another suggestion I’d have is Baton Rouge which is where the main flagship university for the state of Louisiana is located.

Feel better soon! I'm thinking the college itself could be something like Fewcliffe College. The area behind it with the uni etc could then be Fewcliffe Valley or Fewcliffe Rise, or even Fewthering Heights 😆

Love this campus build! An idea for the name of the college could be Fewture Views Academy. Killer views from the lookout point and because the cims are looking towards the future by continuing their education.

I love the Uni to be Fewlane University as another suggested; and the college could be Fewcliff College (because of the landmark cliffs)...and for the little town, the only way you can access it is by bridges (and otherwise accessible crossings over a river) so Fewford seems a natural choice for that. Always such a treat to watch your videos. I just loved this.

lower your taxes on the industry/offices..that's why you have no demand for them, really nice campus, please add a proper road at the uni entrance, not that small roundabout 😂 is not too realistic

Now, I know that Tulane is the "best" university in the real world New Orleans. I also know how much you cringe at the self-named things, but it would be remiss of me not to suggest Fewlane as the university name. Sorry Look after that voice of yours! ❤
