lordSeaworth Not all in certain situations they won't but many cases if the male feels threatened by the puppies for example overpowering the father's rank or if he doesn't know he is the father they will attack the puppies though again if the male has less or no status then the female, the pups aren't sick, and if he knows he is father he will not attack, but even if the male is friendly shouldn't let him roam by the puppies as he still may accidentally hurt them, I have had many experience with dogs and cats as well as the much research I have done with them ever since I was 6 years old with includes breeds, vaccination (which you should never over vaccinate), natural treatments on diseases, the dangers on certain dog food and treats companies, fixing dogs and how in breeds like golden retrievers you should never fix the males but if having to fix the atleast when they turn 2 no younger and there is this doctor who created a surgery which actually makes female dogs live longer, I can go on forever but I know I will never stop talking so.... welp

She was lucky that she was in a place where they could make sure she had plenty of good nutrition during those last few weeks prior to the birth, and more nutrition afterward. It can make a huge difference to the mom and the long term health of the pups.

I love how trusting the mama was with the vet. Like, in the clip after the nursing, her tail is wagging and her eyes are shining and she's smiling at the vet, it's almost like she's saying "look at all these babies! I made these!"

What a good momma. I can’t believe someone would take 13 lives out of this world like that. She is such a sweet dog. And she had 12 beautiful babies. Thank you to all of those who were involved in her rescue.

Very late but; You can tell she was a lap dog, very used to cuddling, with how calm and gentle she wanted to climb you guys. Very sweet, incredible work.

Most likely some waste of air put her out when she turned up preggers - as if it's the dog's fault they didn't have her fixed. You guys are wonderful, and your kids are terrific.

She probably had loving owners who neglected to get her spayed and didn't know what to do when they found out she was pregnant. Not exactly a rare story.

I cant believe how big they all were, at birth. She was not a big mama, how she had all those big pups inside and delivered by herself! Heavens!

I'm an MRI and xray tech and love it when you do imaging. We've scanned dogs before and it presents special challenges.

Rft T the owner of the comment was mentioning why did they abandon her. The owner have the fault. Didn't spay her and then she had puppys and then ABANDONED her with a lot of puppys in her belly. Didn't even considered to let her give birth and donate them. Just left them to death.

i don't think she had an owner. she could have been a stray dog n then when she was pregnant people found her. it's bad that they were going to put her down but what else could they do. i don't support it but yea

Rft T No excuse. You do not uethanize just because they are pregnant. Spay the dog in the first place if you don't want puppies. It's irresponsible not to.

You are now my favorite KZreadr I only knew you from demolition ranch (fun show) but this act of kindness in this video has restored some of my faith in humanity

That isn't her first litter for sure! Any idea on the hound breed? There's some happy dog owners out there now, thanks for having a heart, that's pretty much seperates your family and channels from the rest!

All those pups came out of that poor little mama! Thank God they will all go to wonderful forever homes and be happy and well-cared for. God Bless. 🙏 💞
