That's what I say every dang time I eat there! "Who doesn't love a Mickey pancake?!" And 5 minutes later, "Wow, that's the worst pancake ever. Why did I think it was worth a 4th try??" I'm fairly sure they use rubber to make it, and I break at least one fork trying to cut it every time I am stupid enough to give it a yet another chance.

Lightning Lane for Ariel is such a waste of time. That ride gets down to 10 minutes a few times a day. They're crazy!

I totally agree that LL for Ariel is ridiculous. But the other comments that say they should get rid of the ride, I say, no way! Maybe you don’t go with littles? But if you do Little Mermaid is one of the few rides they love at DCA.

In the Critter Co-op window we see onions, green peppers and celery … the “holy trinity” of vegetables in New Orleans cooking. Nicely themed!

The Mobil reminds me of the tower of the four winds designed by roaly crump for the worlds fair 💚

I think they were trying to do something like The Tower of the Four Winds (by Rolly Crump for 1964-65 world's fair) with the Pixar mobile. It makes a little bit of sense with children involved (it was a garden piece advertising Small World to guests at that fair) and is nostalgic, but has nothing to do with Pixar. Just as you said it though -- looks great out in the esplanade but in Town Square? Nope. Walt didn't want the tower in his park for a reason. EDIT: And the likeness may be because it's the 60th Anniversary of 'it's a small world' and that also technically includes the tower.

One interesting thing you should know is Google Earth just updated the Disneyland Resort map, meaning we can now see overhead 3D models of latest construction. Specifically the Downtown Disney and Tiana's Bayou Adventure construction.

I just know they're doing a time lapse of at least one of the Tiana's and I've been waiting to see if anyone could try to spot the camera.

I think "Tiana's tunnel" going be where the fireflies scene will be because what I saw on TPM video 😄

29:50 is not an actual ride photo. That's concept. You can see the difference in the water tower. I actually think the real images look much better. More vibrant, more color. It's going to be great.

I expect June 19th to be the opening for WDW Tianas. Juneteenth being a huge holiday I think it would fit the bill

The thing about the Pixar fest sculpture - it's clearly based on the Worlds Fair sculpture, but that was kinetic! It was all spinny and active and glinting in the light as it moved. That was the whole point! The Pixar one looked like there's one little windmill, but it wasn't moving in the video?

River Belle used to do pancakes to order on a Show griddle out tront. And they were great hot off the griddle. 😢Too bad they've forgotten how to Cook. 😢 18:53

I don't really mind it. It's not bigger than the Mickey pumpkin or even the Gazebo that used to be there so it's pretty easy to ignore it. Plus it's a cool homage to Wally Crump's Tower of the Four Winds. Just my thoughts though.

The new Polynesian Tower DVC resort at WDW is most likely built using the materials from the pandemic canceled Reflections: Disney Lakeside Lodge Resort on Bay Lake / Wilderness Resort. Which is why the Polynesian DVC tower strongly resembles the released plans/concept art for the defunct Lakeside Lodge.

That Fire Station is so shiny

I was at the park this past week from 19th till yesterday ending off with Star Wars Nite. Channelled my inner Fresh Baked and was on the lookout for new construction updates and also took much advice from you about when to get in the lines. Also had to take a cruise on the main street vehicles, wave and get on the monorail & mark twain, plus also take a ride on the red car trolley. Would have loved to see you filming but I believe we were always hanging out in opposite parks while there. Love the channel and videos as always! Can't wait to ba back in disney again! FRESH BAKED!

I love the Pixar Fest feature in town square, I just hope they add flowers to the soil. My favorite breakfast item in the resort is the harvest bowl at Red Rose Tavern!

Thanks for the update. We were there Saturday too and went to New Orleans Square for beignets at your strong recommendation. Lo and behold you can see us sitting down to enjoy them in your video of the Haunted Mansion construction!

FreshBaked. David, The Pixar "Medalian" in Town Square is such an eyesore. The starter over at "Paseo & Centrico makes up for the shoe leather pancake at "Red Rose Taverne" You are so right, that monstrosity of a building at the Polynessian looks so much like a hospital wing. It now just awaits it's first patients. You'd have to be really sick to want an apartment there. The new lighting package on "Splash Mtn. You could almost be blinded by the light. So much blue. I hope the rumour is'nt true that the attraction will open with not all the new animatronics installed. And Lightening Lane only for the first month or so. Cheers, Chris Perry

I just watched the recent Ordinary Adventure and review of Frozen at Hong Kong Disney. That was a WOW...if they could do that at Disneyland to the newly acquired zoning that would be amazing.

Yes! My favorite one in THIS episode was when he set up a tease for the lighting package at WDW, while simultaneously showing it on the screen.

Yea I love Pixar and Pixar Fest (went back in 2018), but that does not fit on main street at all.

I really don't mind the Pixar Fest decor. It feels understated, and also Rolly Crump / Worlds Fair-esque. There has been far more egregious decor packages in the past.

Lol That Red Rose clip is where I basically accosted you 😅 my kid loved the pancake for the shape alone.

I think I agree. They should have stuck to the big displays at dca. Just more subtle if anything for Disneyland

I used genie+ for the first time last Wednesday April 17. I rope dropped Adventureland, did Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, and Pirates within 45 minutes, headed to Rise which had just broken down (big surprise), and punched in Runaway Railway as first Genie+. Decided to wait in the "20 minute" Small World line (it took 40 minutes) to wait for RR time start. RR was great and punched in Buzz Lightyear. (45 minutes to wait for LL entry). Rode Monorail, ate a churro (yum!) Walked onto Buzz Lightyear, made Thunder Mountain next choice for LL (another 45 minute wait til entry time. Did Smugglers Run single rider. Fun. Rode Thunder Mountain. It was now about noon. Went to punch in my next LL choice...Raiders : Unavailable, Pirates:Unavailable Smugglers:9pm... literally nothing was available. I got 3 rides LL. Never again. Such a money grab forDisney. All it is is line cutting for the privileged. 😢

Yeah MK has a bit more space for Tiana’s than Disneyland. Im super excited about it opening soon. Since moving to Florida I actually watch your updates because I miss Disneyland. That is my home town. I haven’t been to Epcot for about a month. We went for my birthday Saturday but we did Animal Kingdom. It was really hot so we didnt change parks like we originally planned. We had some blackout dates early in April. Im excited that they are finally getting close on Communicore Hall. Those walls are annoying. It does look beautiful this time of year with the Flower and Garden Festival. Epcot is my favorite because I love to go to all the festival booths. Can’t wait for Fresh Baked to come to WDW. Let me know when you are coming and I will look out for you.

I bet some Disney executives is thinking of making all attractions an individual lighting lane. I think the Pixar display at Main Street is an eyesore, they could have done bette. I still wish they added a Korean BBQ restaurant or a AYCE Hot Pot restaurant to Downtown Disney.

I loved the old Whoopi movie in Ariel’s building!

The problem with Genie+ for Ariel is the ride is so incredibly mid with some of the worst animatronics I’ve seen in any Disney park. Similar story with Mike and Sulley. I would rather save my LLs for the good rides at DCA and if I don’t get to go on those two rides because of the standby crowd, so be it.

No that bldg is not done at Epcot. Characters meet and greet will be inside there and there will be a stage for performances. Where you see Mickey and friends that’s the character area. There’s a bldg inside that metal structure. No opening date for that part of Epcot still

I don't trust Disney. I think they will keep Pirates with the lightning lane. They will say how it was a huge success and based on purchases, people love it.
