Got mye Summit 4 months ago, and to say it like this. If My Moog One 16 had sounded like this I would have kept it and not sold it after 1 year. Its impossible to sit down with it and not make a good sound, and the reverb is the best I have heard on any synth.

I wanted one of these before seeing this review....now I really want one.

I got my Summit a few weeks ago and can help with some of the points mentioned here. 1. Bass. This synth has a very powerful bass character if required. The presets and you tube don't give an accurate picture of what's possible 2. "The sounds are digital sounding." I'm not going to get into digital vs analog, but this is the most "analog" sounding digital synth I own and have a room full. Again the presets don't showcase the synth properly. I have managed to create sounds that are very similar to my Prophet 08. It can sound warm or "digital" or both at the same time in multi mode. This really is an amazing instrument and sounds immense - don't judge by the presets alone.

It's my experience too that Novation synths don't seem to focus on good sounding presets. They seem to focus on showcasing how strange and different it can sound rather than how good it can sound.

Yeah the presets are horrible, but once you get to programing yourself you see the real power of the synth!

Sound of the presents from the sound packs on sound collective are good and better then what is initially on the synth. I hope they make more. It is a wonderful synth. Really unique sounding

There are only a few synths that sounds so lush, creamy and dark like the Summit. That's why I bought it.

There was a pretty big update for the Summit this week. Much needed bug fixes and new features.

隙のない 非の打ちどころがない シンセって感じですよね〜 冒頭はなんかprophetっぽく聞こえ ベースはmoog プラック系は　１０６ FMのＤＸ poly系は　D -５０　っぽく聴こえた 瞬間がありました〜 そう意識して聴いたからかもしれませんが、 確かにそう感じる瞬間がありました〜 またこの　つまみ群そそります オシレーター3系統　リングモジュレーション FM LFO4系統　１６音ポリですか〜 デュアルアルペジエーター　 高品位なエフェクター・・・ デザインはprophet意識してるんじゃないかな〜って感じしますよね〜 とにかく音が多彩で　気配りの効いた 大人なシンセですよね〜 特にアンビエント系のパッド系最高です。 これ欲しいですね〜

Bought one, but sold it 6 months later. Good synth, but for some reason it wasn't speaking to me. Who knows, maybe I'll buy one again in the future. :)

Same thing happened to me. Had it for over a year, but always found myself playing other synths. Keyboard is great and it is an easy synth to navigate though.

Same here. Had a Peak, worked with it for the better part of a year and eventually replaced it with a Hydrasynth. Sounded good, but I just didn't gel with the Peak. Hydrasynth went when Waldorf came out with the M, hope to see Katsunori Ujiie do a review, especially if he could do it side-by-side with a Microwave 1.

Looks like he was struggling a bit here because I know he's more of a keyboardist performer, not so much into sound design which this synth seems more geared for.

Beautiful pads and keys, but the bass sounds are very thin and digital sounding.

Maybe in these presets and in a KZread video, it hasn't come through. But, honestly, IRL it's a very strong bass machine and can be overwhelming in the mix. I have a Peak, and I mostly love it for Strings, Pads, Keys, Plucks, Wavetable and since it's a poly, I mostly use it for that. But, I also really love it for acidic basslines, arpeggios. And the two part-multitimbral I'd could use it for both. But I'd be a shame to use one 8 voice part for just monophonic line. Honestly, I wish they'd have done a Three Peaks, with one being being a monophonic part for bass or lead. Or just make one so that you can assign the 16-voice polyphony to as many parts as you'd like, like multi-timbral synths used to be. Adding a Basstation II to my Peak might work for me. I prefer the form factor of the Peak anyway, Summit is pretty big and generic.
