Novation Circuit Tip//005 - One Finger Chord Recording

Музыка

In this video I expand on the last Circuit Tip video I did, and show you how to assign a few chords, then record the action of you playing them back onto separate patterns!
Shout out to Dibiase for first showing me this tip.
Check out his music here, insanely amazing..

    And if i get it right, it still sends all the chord midi data to output, right? (even without recording it, just when you press those 1 button chords)

    Great tips as usual! Hey bro, you got time to chat? When are they going to root, jailbreak this thing? However you want to refer to it. Some of us are Session Players. And I mean that literally. When are they going to allow us to save and load our sessions on the fly? Creating music, a song, with beginning, middle and end, 3 different chord progressions, bridges, breaks, sometimes can take up 5 to 7 sessions. So that doesn't leave many songs you can actually use for live set application. It turned out to be just a one shot DAW Toy. It could be if we had access to the sysex and were able to load sessions on the fly, live. Just asking, I know you know a lot about this. I try and use the Circuit as advertised, it's on the box lol GROOVEBOX... Not much of a groovebox if you have to be tied to the internet to use it. Who has an ISP when on a gig? haha I can actually use simple apps like Caustic3 to get more done on a gig than this because it is so locked up. Would appreciate any insight you may have on the subject. and help me out if you have an info I may have missed because otherwise, it's just an expensive toy or something to only be used in a studio setting. As much as I love it, it's not serving my needs. THANKS!!!

    Some pads have chords when auditioning the sounds at 32 per page. How do you get certain ones to audition with chords?

  • @RickyTinez

    @RickyTinez

    6 жыл бұрын

    So what you're hearing is Circuit telling you which pad is mono or poly. The chord that plays back is telling you that the patch you have selected is Polyphonic. If the audition is just a single note its monophonic.

    frickin awesome... I'll need to go over that a couple of times for it to sink in but I see whats happening there...cool. Wish it was a bit easier to get it to add melody/chords over multiple bars but cool that it's possible to do it that way. thanks
