NoVANLIFE: Convert SUV Ford Explorer 2005 into a Stealth Camper|Step by Step Instructions.

You don't need a van to road trip in style!
Instead of a traditional summer wandering around, I kept myself busy working on a new camper setup (Luckily had a bunch of free recycled materials from work).
New and improved with a proper sink and cooking space. After a short trip around The Berkshires the only thing I would've done differently is making the sleeper platform a few inches lower.
Excited to test it on a road trip to Alaska or Panama once everything will calm down.

    I thought this was going to be a video of someone talking about what they did to their explorer, with no script, repeating the same things over and over. the quality of the video was just as amazing as the build itself. thank you for the no nonsense, right to the point, approach. the editing was amazingly satisfying as well.

    You are the first person I've seen with my idea of track strip for curtains. My 2012 Hyundai SUV has one continuous, seamless ceiling and sides. I would have loved to see the full view of many parts of your build! Example, the window was very clever and original, but you only showed it being snapped and drawn at a portion of the window. Also, it was difficult to view with the steps going so fast. I love the music and visuals, but it would be great if the visuals were slower for viewing. This build is worthy of showing full details in a slower mode.

I used to travel a lot & drive across country 6X's a year due to the nature of my work. Coast to coast, border to border. You did it right on the outfit of your rig. Got a fridge installed, rear seats are out & currently figuring out how I wanna wire up my battery isolator + power inverter. Also hooked up a front & rear dashcam thats run to direct power, with an app, I can check up on her as long as shes near wifi or has a 4G modem in her.

  • @May23

    @May23

    Жыл бұрын

    We usually utilize the sleeper 10-30 nights a year and have no issues with it so far. We use a 2 inches camping sleeping mat and Alex can barely sit up (he is 6'1"). Ideally you should build your sleeper leaving enough room to sit up. It will make your life easier if you are planning to use it a lot.

    Raven Raven The Explorer is a dependable truck only if it's had regular tune ups and oil change the only thing I can advise before you buy one have the engine and transmission checked because the first thing with the Explorer transmission is one of the shift sensors may short out but they may cost about 25 to 40 dollars but other than that the transmission are good be sure the engine doesn't knock because the oil may not have been changed also a 2004 or a 2005 should only cost no more than 1500 dollars they are really inexpensive trucks that mechanic knows women don't know much about car's I pray that you take your time finding the right car or try going to a auction if not just message me again
